I'm still messing with the sounds for the i3 engines, they work, but you can hear the loop.. don't exactly know how to fix it. (Using Audacity)

I will release a finished version. The beta has like 10% of the content the full one had so I don't want to make a downgrade. + I already have beta testers.
They will come eventually, but it's not a priority. I need to finish more important stuff first. It will recieve all the intakes of the normal ones (except maybe turbo because it might not fit), stage 1 and 2 internals, and its default carburetor will be available on normal engines. And about sounds, the sound of 600 and 650 engines was changed, SKB is improving it, and Abarth and Supersport will likely use modified SBR4 sounds instead.

since i cant send images in PMs, @Agent_Y , this is how much audio clipping there was xD. this was before normalizing the sound

    its a mess lmao

    after normalizing:

Yeah the original sounds are trash. Basically someone recorded the car revving at redline with background noise, slowed it down and tried to make it into normal sound lol

Since I finished the trailer mod I have time for this again. Will start fixing bugs soon but wanted to add some ELX parts first.

Separated leaded and unleaded fuel, they have different fuel tanks that appear with different fuel caps:
    asdasdads.png

The intake now determines what kind of gasoline the engine runs on, most will only run on leaded but the ELX carburetor only runs on unleaded. This incompatibility is also a thing in real life.
    sdadasdad.png

Also added exhaust with catalytic converter that reduces the amount of smoke, no custom model for it yet but will do something like this:
    02033.jpg
I need to fix the exhaust model more anyway, maybe I'll separate the pipes and the muffler in parts selector, where the pipes will affect the smoke and afterfire while the muffler will affect power?

ok, leaded and unleaded gas? thats cool. really cool.

also, did this have any diesel variants? or diesel swapped engines?

It did have one Diesel prototype, but it was never tested, got cancelled before the prototype was finished. I kinda want a Diesel like this but I couldn't find any precise data about it. It was a 800cc Kubota v800BB F4 Diesel engine, 22hp and 47Nm of torque, that's all I can find.

EDIT: When trying to find some info, I found this weird 3-wheeled version that looks like a Pigeon lol
    link_g1ivBU4t9EnGhWkM6Em0L2i4UNxjNJzkw300h223.jpg

Also apparently someone found the Diesel prototype somehow and is restoring it but still I didn't find any performance data

You might be able to interpolate from this torque curve or maybe there is even more suitable engine on that site:

Good idea, it appears to be like the same engine but 2 times smaller because 2 cylinders, so I guess I can base the torque curve on it. I also found a video of the restored prototype:

I could make a modifed current engine model to look like that, and maybe SKB could source the sounds from this video?

As for the body design of the prototype, from what I can tell from this and other videos, it appears to be based on the FL, without hubcaps, with EL turn signals, special slightly smaller body colored air intakes, rear bumper-mounted license plate, special decklid with one long chrome vent where the license plate would be and without any vents on the top part + also with a third brake light.

There was black and red interior:

The Diesel engine was also spring-mounted, it was attached to a different kind of mount bar:

More about the engine, it's fuel injected and it worked with the standard transmission, also all Kubota engines are built the same way from the same parts so it makes sense to base the torque curve on a smaller one, and also I I found a video of it during the restoration so here are some photos:

Also in one of these videos I found a random poster of the sport version

Ah, wonderful, swapping the engine with a hydraulic pump that makes 15hp lol, it's even slower than the normal version, why does it need sport wheels and a spoiler??? Lol not sure if I'll do this, maybe later, and I'd rather have a fast electric version than this

So I finally combined all of my modified models into 1 file instead of having all parts in a hundred of different files (still kept the engine separate because it's easier to work on it like that)... This is how much I have changed in the model, the only unchanged things are most of the glass, hood, decklids, suspension, dashboards (except gauges), some small details and some extra accessories that don't have new Jbeam yet. Most of my work was just separating the models into parts and pieces and changing materials, but still, this is almost the whole car lol

Will work on the exhaust model some more later (it needs some fixing and also a version with catalytic converter) and then the Diesel.

Also just fixed the halogens and lights not breaking issue, it was because the rear bumper Jbeam extended 10cm too much to the front, while the front bumper Jbeam was 2cm too short which caused the halogens to move back a bit lol, it only happened for those bumpers, all others were fine.

    Improved standard exhaust model slightly:
    dasdasas.png
    New pipes with catalytic converter:
    rfsfdsfdf.png
Time to make the Diesel engine now. It will take some work for sure. I'll have to use a mechanical radiator model from some vanilla vehicle for it, it will also need a new decklid, air intakes (which I'm pretty sure are fake and only for decoration on the Diesel) and a brake light (no idea why it had one).

No idea what should I set as the peak RPM of the Diesel.

4000RPM looks reasonable but the car can't reach 90 km/h.
    daadassd.png

4500 can reach it but the torque and power drop at high RPM is massive so it kinda makes no sense I think.
    sdddas.png

So well... Without actual data it's not easy.

maybe it had a different final drive gear ratio, but had a slightly shorter geared gearbox..

Nope, all was the same, it was made to fit the factory transmission and diff without changes.

Right now in the mod, acceleration is better than on the 600cc I2 but top speed is way lower. Makes sense if it's a Diesel I think.
