Updating BeamNG.drive

I bought the game directly from the beamng official website, instead of doing it through steam or other platforms. I now find myself with the need of updating the game since I have the 0.10.0.1 version installed and do not know the way to update it to the latest version. Please HELP

If you link your beamng account with steam you get the game in the steam library for free and you would get the automatic updates, i also bought the game from the official website. i did this a few years ago...
I'm not sure how to update it manually though.

Click on your profile (top right corner) -> Personal Details (https://www.beamng.com/account/personal-details) -> External Accounts -> Associate with Steam
