    Hey!

So, just yesterday I booted up my computer to play some lovely Beamng, and everything ran smoothly until I tried loading up more than one car.

This has never happened before, but all of a sudden i’m getting 20fps or less when having two non-modded cars on the same map. Usually it’s the normal 120fps, and it doesn’t get to 20fps until I load in 8 or more cars.

Not sure what’s going on, but this means that I can’t really do any scenarios either.

    Specs:
    RTX 2060 Super
    Ryzen 5 3600XT
    1920x1080 at high settings
    25 mods

So, a computer that can handle it. I tried clearing the cache, booting in safe mode, disabling reshade for every game that I have, uninstalling it for every game that I have (and my whole computer), switching to low settings, changing the resolution, rebooting my computer, and nothing worked.

Beamng is basically unplayable. What’s going on?

Absolutely sure nothing's running in the background? Something's causing a hang up somewhere then. I run into it from time to time. Especially considering I run 200+ mods.

Turn off all mods, exit the game. Turn on steam, verify the games integrity through there. Then clear cache using the start up menu. Without turning on any mods, open up a map and experiment. See if you have the same frame rate problem. Likely you won't. Turn on your mods, most of the time everything will be hunky dory. But if you have the frame rate drop after you turn on your mods, you have to figure out which mod is causing the problem.

Oh, thank you so much! Yeah, turns out one of my mods was broken. Such an easy solution. Thanks!

Sometimes it happens for no reason or something conflicts. I could be running with the same set of mods for days on end and then for some reason something goes haywire and I have to figure out what's conflicting and install them in different orders and see what works.
