So it's like between the 650cc I2 and the 640cc F2, cool. Adding it in the mod wouldn't add much variety.

Yeah, it was there merely to avoid higher taxes, so changes would’ve also bean minimal to lower the cost of those modifications.

Also, some mental gymnastics while I’m here.

In 1978 a new Maluch cost 42 000 Kčs in Czechoslovakia whilst a Trabant 601 S Universal (Combi) cost 39 500 Kčs, as much as I like the 126, the Trabant seams to me to be the better choice.

The reason I wanted to know about the lettering was because I was modelling letters. They are not perfect but good enough for me now.

Last thing for today I think. New model for sport exhaust:

    Vs normal exhaust for comparison:

Either way, the empty exhaust gives around 5 more horsepower compared to even the sport exhaust lol

5 horsepower is a HUGE bump on power. For some engines, it is a 25% increase

Sorry for posting this randomly without any progress but I figured out a thing that has been bugging me for a while. It cleared up some confusion I had.
The common knowledge is that EL = Elegant. Because people see the new hubcaps and instantly think like "this is the second facelift of the car". But they are different things in reality. I looked at the FL, FL Maquillage, EL, ELX and Town advertisement folders where they listed all the optional equipment, and it confirmed the fact that they are in fact different things. So let's set it straight:
    • 80s FL version didn't have any trims because the transitionary versions (and ST versions for some time too) were still produced so it was treated as a higher trim of them.
    • 90s FL version recieved visual changes and was separated into trims, which was decided by Fiat rather than FSM.
    • Elegant was the trim for FL added in the 90s. It featured those hubcaps. Higher trim was SX which also had them.
    • The 90s FL version didn't really last long because the interest in the car was decreasing due to it being old so Fiat decided to facelift it the second time. The EL version was made.
    • EL really stands for "Electronic ignition" according to Wikipedia, because that was the main highlight of the new verison.
    • Standard trim of EL still had the old hubcaps. The trim names and most equipment stayed so there was the EL Elegant with the new hubcaps, and there was the SX too.
    • I assume nobody wanted to buy the standard trim of EL because it wasn't all that different from the FL standard trim, so they would buy the EL Elegant instead.
    • They could call it just Elegant for short which could have lead to the confusion later on with people thinking that EL is short for Elegant.
    • Additionally all the advertisements had the new hubcaps, probably people were sick of the old ones already lol.
    • The ELX which replaced the EL didn't have a trim called Elegant anymore, most of its equipment became standard which could have made the confusion even bigger.
    • Additionally Town was not a trim either, but it was a replacement for ELX which had its own trims (again only just Standard and SX). But it was out for a short time with ELX still around so it could as well have been a trim, the only thing it really changed was adding rear headrests and there was not even any option to buy the car without them.
    • Also weirdly with the ELX the interior color became dependant on the chosen trim. So I know for sure my uncle had the Town SX, but the SX badge is missing and rear seat is replaced so it looks more like ELX lol.

Wow. That is a lot of info. Good to know!

Also, what about the sounds of the car?
Right now, probably due to the game update,
The sounds are basically earr@pe. Like, a lot of static and stuff when you just spawn,
The exception is the Flat 2 engine, since it uses the piccolina sound (I think).
Is it possible to use the pigeon i3 sound and edit that somehow?

I did tell you in DMs that it sounds bad now. I'll try disabling exhaust sound and keeping only engine one as a temporary solution. But the samples are simply too long, too slow and too low quality to work with the new sounds system.

I tried to model the 600cc decklid based on the normal one, idk what I messed up but the triangles are visible now, help?
    sadsdaas.png
EDIT: Sort of fixed it, good enough. Apparently the model uses custom smooth shading properties, I reset them to default and idk what the original settings were

Many parts are see-through like this actually, it's a model issue, will fix once more important things are done.

The real Maluch conundrum, I’m surprised that they changed the name so much. The fact that people confused different trims just show that only thing the changing names created was a big mess lol.

Also, that 600 decklid looks really nice.

Considering that they had the same model running for almost 30 years, it's not that unreasonable that they made so many changes in trim names lol.
Actually the amount of all factory trims isn't too big to remember them all (at least for me):

I was working on something but too tired to finish today, no Jbeam yet and no actual beacon light either, but I'm planning to have every part of this possible to break off separately

Actually, for me, the 800cc experimental engine is too powerful for the car, since it is too top heavy and narrow for the race tires, and normal tires can't handle that much power, hehe.

The point of this engine was to be too poweful lol, I didn't modify the engine itself, but originally it had a different transmission (similar to current rally transmission), a limited slip diff (equippable as a separate part now) and a different final drive (can be set by using the race adjustable one). It was quite a bit slower like that.

I imagine. Anyway, the Abarth engine with the Sport kit and the Weber 45 carburator makes more than enough power to it. Especially considering how the front suspension behaves, 50 hp for such a light car is almost perfect, combined to the 10x6 3 lug wheels, it drives awesome, for what it is.

I'll try a config like that, maybe even include it in the mod, I need variety after all so config ideas are welcome

One suggestion I have is performance parts for the F2 engine, since it has a better model and sound. Maybe some Piccolina swap options.
