No and yes. Progress has been slow because of my (and frankly everyone's) insane schedule's. Rest assured though, progress is still being made. Yesterday I did a small bit of JBeam work in cutting nodes and beams out of the doors to make them more lightweight (computationally). I also added in a new set of seats, a classic style steering wheel, a modern style steering wheel, a modern windshield frame, a modern single piece windshield, and did a bit more suspension tuning. Last night I was working on getting all of the engine mesh's back in game, and even though I am not completely done with that (there are some missing mesh's that need added) I may be able to finish that up tonight. Still a lot of parts to go, but I am slowly whittling away at the list.
As of currently I think this is still the heaviest configuration... that being said, we do have an electric model, and I have yet to actually implement the batteries... sooooo.... that might go up a bit. Edit: I actually did make a "Heavy" config the other day I just remembered about called The Whale. Basically it has all the heaviest components I could find and I was using it for testing traction control, ABS, and suspension parameters under extreme conditions. --- Post updated --- I just realized that I didn't answer this question. Due to someone liking a comment on this page, I just noticed it (thanks for that) Yes, there are actually full soft tops for the 4 door and the wagon variants. I just have yet to actually implement them in game yet. I don't know if Sithhy even showed off the models to them either... but this is the basic gist of what they are. 4 Door Truck Soft Top Wagon Soft Top (although arguably nicer looking than this.)
What sounds are you guys gonna use for the engine? The stock 6.0l V8 diesel sounds pretty good for a giant diesel engine, and so do the petrol V8's. Any custom sounds?
Currently the engines we are using are all in game engines. So the parameters of the sound configurations will be messed with for different intake and exhaust options (I assume I can adjust them for intake options as well... haven't actually tried to implement it yet). But other than that, the physical "sound" files are all basically stock BeamNG drive sounds. With the ability to adjust the sounds though you can really get some unique engine sounds out of just one file though which Sithhy seems to have good fun messing with. So, to summarize... it will have custom sound configurations... so it will sound unique, but we intend to use the standard, in game, sound files currently.
Well, Brutus B1 is based on Hummer H1, so it would have been possible for them to just make that and leave out Humvee idea if the civilian version had been their only goal here.
Hummer H1 is a civilian vehicle, Humvee is a military vehicle. This mod originally started out being based on H1 with military version coming later during development, IIRC.
that was never the point. they were asking for a military SPEC version and not one that kinda looks like it on the other hand the "le militarized variant >w<" gave me a microagression
Yes, H1 is a very close match to Humvee. My point was not whether they should add it or not, as my point was completely about if they felt like doing so, which is a no-brainer of an addition to this truck for that very reason.
I thought "militarized" meant "military based on normal version"? Is it the same as "military spec" or no? I'm confused
i would assume thats what they meant ? idek anymore why not reply to his message then this just causes confusion
I did, you not seeing it there is because of you having them blocked, which also hides quotes of posts from blocked users.
