I have to say that this is, in my mind, one of the more important mods that we have seen in a while. Beam's vehicle selector has a large number of cars from many demographics, and while many areas are filled, there are a few holes. In much the same way as the ETK 1300 is such an important mod because Beam does not have a modern SUV, this fills the European econobox hole perfectly, and is, in my opinion, the sort of thing that has been missing from the game for years.

With the being said, it isn't perfect, and considering how recently is was released, I wouldn't expect it to be. What it comes down to is mainly the Jbeam. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad as such, but it could do with further improvements. I know that @Nekkit already changed it slightly, which is great, and it worked. I would love to see further refinements to the Jbeam as the mod gets updated, and I am excited to see where it goes.

As it sits right now, this is still one of my favorite mod cars available in game at the moment, alongside the Chisai. I was sad to see some earlier attempts at things like this get cancelled, and it's great to finally have an old European hatchback to mess around with after hoping somebody would make one for so long.

 

Next release will refine it even further, but i would like to know, what in it right now is bugging you the most, i could have overlooked it when fixing bugs

 

Honestly, there isn't much. The only thing that I have noticed is that the gauges are quite dark and very difficult to read without the headlights on. I've taken to turning them on immediately whenever I spawn the car in, as it's almost impossible to see anything without the gauge back lighting. Other than that though, there really isn't anything significant that I've noticed. It's a great mod.

 

Something inspired by this would be cool if/ when more tuning stuff happens; definitely not the same generation but this is a MK3 with a VR6 in the front *and* back (so 2 well-tuned 1800cc motors for the MK1) with 800HP from each engine. A VR6 inspired engine for swapping purposes would also be nice. Other than that, I remember seeing this mod a while ago and it was on my mind for a while, so I'm super happy to finally see it release!

 

I just thought of something a bit more specific. Basically. the Jbeam is pretty good in the middle of the car and decent in the front, but on the back it's way off. It follows the slope of the back pretty well, but it doesn't align properly with the rear end where the slope cuts off. It's sort of hard to describe, and I can't be bothered to take a screenshot right now, but I hope what I'm saying makes sense.

 

hey, just a suggestion isn't better to remove the rear headrest? Since it was not common back in the 1980s and even the ETK-I does not have it.

Update is good but I feel like the diesel swapped version gearing is too low

 

oh yes, the vr6, prob my favourite engine

 

I dont know if it's just me but the update doesn't include a lot of configs nor assets like the police light or liveries.

Yeah, i must have missed one of the older files when trying to delete them. I've figured it out. Just had older versions of the mod inside my directory as well as inside the vehicles folder (essentially the cache folder)

I managed to fix it myself, should've taken more time to make sure i removed older files first before making a comment on this thread.
