I have done a quick unofficial fix that fixes all texture problems with the map so that it works with the current version of beamng.

Hopefully the thread author does not mind.

I know this is off topic. Yes carmageddon is a great game. I have tons of great memories of it.
I was the first in the world to mod the game. I modded the carmageddon beta demo in 1997.

The map is stuck inf loading after I start it. What should I do?

 

Which version did you download? The most recent fix is on this page.

 

Is there a way to fix it in the current version? When I load in using both the original and the fix, it is just black except for the path and the grass. I can't even fix it using the world editor because when I open the material menu for the map's terrain, the file for the textures doesn't exist according to the world editor. Is there any way I could fix it? I used to love this map.

btw will you just fix textures and add pbr materials or planning on something bigger?

 

First i will fix textures/materials and update it to run on 0.23, (if I can figure out how), then I will add some buildings/vegetation/scenarios (if I can figure out how)
I haven't used the map editor since 2017, and now there's a new version that I am not at all familiar with, so it will be a challenge.

I'm working on it, have patience my child.

Still working on it, trying to figure out the new terrain editor, it's totally different to the old one they now have completely removed the old editor.

Yeah, I've never figured that out, maybe I'll be luckier this time
