If it's using the Pigeon wheels, then I would advise going for the Pigeon suspension which they were made for. Also the issue with exploding could potentially be caused by wrong node setup on the spindles.
Yeah that's probably a better idea. Before i do that i might try and see how 4 wheel hubs work since there are 13x5inch wheels. That's closer to actual da16t wheels since oem is 12inch and 10inch is noticably smaller. If it fits well i'll probably end up using that since they are 4 lugs like the actual car and would be more fun to fit more wheels on it. If 13 inch looks too big but is stable then i'll stick to those temporarily while i make a 12 inch 4 lug wheel specific for this car.

I've started utilizing 4 lug wheels today since 10 inch wheels look too small. The irl truck has 12 inch 4 lug wheels and that's what i modeled around, so 13 inch wheels will be suitabnle for now while i get a 12 inch wheel model. It'll most likely be just a slightly smaller version of a steelie heh. The 4 lug wheels are stable but the front wheels instantly break off so i'll do my best to resolve that.
It's been a while since I've updated here, but i've gotten back to working on this truck. It's nowhere near the quality I want it to be, but it's getting progress. Some things I noticed was the scaling is really bad, it's bigger than it should be, so i'm probably going to have to relocate all the nodes eventually. That'll probably be the next thing I do since it will be even worse to do it later. The jbeam properties are horrendous but I'm planning on reaching out to more experienced people to help me out since I highly doubt I can improve on those properties. Anyways, here's some videos of the current stage. Nothing's textured other than some of the drivetrain, but it's a slow work in progress.

Im not planning to continue this project. It got about as far as I anticipated but I have other matters to worry about.
