well they did say there will be a minivan on reddit but i think now its deleted i cant find it anymore :/
It doesn't mean anything, there is no way they would be including the Kashira in game unless they did a complete overhaul of the mod to dev standards and removed half of the content that is useless and unrealistic for a minivan
Erm... many base configs are useless/unrealistic, see the T-series and bus in particular, as well as a config in the base game that is literally called "the useless"
it's not being updated because the creator left the community due to their personal reasons. also, they said this: So, yeah, Kashira itself not gonna be official content, but doesn't eliminate the possibility of there being an official, proper minivan or MPV being added to the game. Considering design though, I would expect something from the mid 80s to be quite boxy (see 1st gen Chrysler minivans), mid 90s to early/mid 2000s look like a bunch of rounded bubbles (see 2nd and 3rd generation Chrysler minivans and 1st gen Toyota Sienna. Honda Odyssey is the exception here), and for 2010 and beyond, the design gets a bit difficult to certainly identify without causing outliers. the 5th generation Chrysler minivans became boxy while the Sienna stayed curvy at the front but became boxy at the rear. So far, in the current generation of minivans as of 2021, the 6th generation Chrysler minivans became like Toyota's with a curvy front but has a boxy rear and the Odyssey is still the semi-curvy but mostly boxy design it has been for its entire existence. P.S. I am referring to North American minivans only and am not talking about European MPVs and stuff.
All of them are way more realistic than a lowrider minivan, even the ram bus makes more sense. Also the useless content is 473927 anime skins and accessories that aren't even all used in the configs. Also the Jbeam is nowhere near dev standards (but good enough for a mod).
Well, we do have a couple platforms already in game that can be used as a donor for an older MPV... Pessima, Piccobello (Multipla Corse FTW), and the LeGran/Wendover to an extent.
This is a little out of context but for next update do you guys think they will make more modern versions of a car since they don't have much modern cars for example (a new d series?)
yeah I meant not a mod and possibly a 2010's through 2020 modern kind of like a modern ford/chevy thing.
I'm sure we will see more facelifts coming up Adjacent generations of BoF cars sometimes use a new body on the old frame. They've already done this with the Roamer/D-Series and the Pigeon/Wigeon, so maybe we will see some more coming up Completelty new generations are great for building lore and making the in-game universe feel more built, but these generally fill existing niches in a different era. While these still offer something new, I'd prefer to see the completelty empty niches filled before new eras of already filled niches. For example, I don't see much advantage in getting a modern fullsized American pickup truck when, if we don't count the Pigeon, that would make every pickup in game a full sized BoF American truck, just like it already is. A non-American ute/mid-sized/minitruck of any era would add a lot more variety to the roster for a similar dev recourse input.
yeah i like where you are going with this like a midsize mabey somewhat like a ford ranger of Austrailia/England (right hand drive) that has a 2.0 litre turbo deisel mabey with a 6 speed auto (from transit van) or a 2.0 twin turbo 4 cylinder deisel with a 10 speed automatic. it would be awsome if they could add mabey like a offroad version like this ford ranger raptor and mabey the devs could add a special v8 version so it is not a exsact replica of the ranger.
I was always wondering why etk-800 is just wagon/combi car. It is not usual for EU car to be just wagon, but firstly a sedan version as initial design.
I just hope that if they remaster the etk 800, the devs take the time to un-bmw it, since at the moment it visually is a dead ringer for 2010s bmw design...
I still think that we might get a sedan version of the 800 since it would make alot of sence on it i also hope that we will see some audi influence on it.
A modern workforce in general is missing in the game, with the Grand Marshall, D-series, H-series, and T-series all being quite outdated by modern standards. I don't know how often fleets get updated in other parts of the world, but there are at least one generation, if not two, more recently in the US. As much as I see what you are saying with most pickups in the game being American, the most popular pickups are American, specifically F-series. The same is true for vans, with the Transit being most popular. The game needs both European and American modern semi trucks though, particularly a cabover truck as those seem to be more prolific outside of the US, so I would likely agree with your case if you made it towards semi trucks. Finally coming around to the Grand Marshall, most countries use different fleet cars, but the Fusion/Mondeo is very common in most countries, and most fleets have at least begun to phase out their old Chevy Caprices and Ford Crown Victoria's, so once again there needs a more modern standard in the game, and fact is that once again, they're American. The game is not (and does not have to be) exactly like real life, but it does follow the trends of real life, and all of these things are missing.
