every update adds new parts to be damaged making cars more fragile. i really like car chase movies with crashes, like 1974' gone in 60 seconds with one car being banged within half of movie. and i want to do such chases in this game, when you bash one car several times, but there is too much mechanical damages that make it impossible to survive even couple of hits. for example, if i want to recreate car chase from Bulitt on jumpy San Francisco roads, i face the problem - the newly added damaging oil pans, Barstow has really weak oil pan, it damages even from small jumps.

the suggestion is to add ability to disable damage to mechanical parts, like drivetrain and suspension. so you can bash car and see only visual physical damages. this will also help to film movies in this game, when you can control damages the car can acquire

Once again this mod does the opposite of that, disabling visual damage. Oil pans with adjustable G are a thing, but not indestructible ones. There could be a dedicated mod for unbreakable engines and suspensions, but I'm not gonna make one, too much work.

Okay so this mod would work then:

You can configure it to deform but still have its mechanical parts working. There’s a literal picture showing it.
