Ai need to use blinker when changing lanes on highway.

I’ve hit so many ai cars on the Italy highway because they don’t use their blinker and just start changing lanes. Blinker usage would be nice.

 

Where your eyes? If you know they will drive that way, stop driving so near and look far ahead in time so you hit not them. This goes for driving outside BeamNG.Drive as well since not everybody will be driving careful or look where they drive.

 

Well like I’m playing the car delivery cenario the way i wanna play it which is flying through traffic like a mad man trying to get their as fast as I can without wrecking my car. When on the highway them using a blinker would give me a heads up their gonna change lanes so that way they don’t just all of a sudden change into my lane and I rear end them. Same with changing roads when not on the highway they don’t use their blinker so they all of a sudden slam on the breaks and I rear end them. This is worse on Italy because sometimes the traffic struggles a bit with the super small tight roads.

 

That is not answering what I have asked. I drive fast as well but I keep mine eyes peeled for when they drive like that and switch lanes without looking, as well as myself not driving so near them. You cannot always trust blinkers (IRL not always working or there at all), so you must ready your mind for lane switches out from nowhere. If road is too narrow, hang on until gap is wide enough for you to overtake them.

 

Agree. So this could be more fun and realistic
And for mods, cars should stop at traffic lights, turn on blinkers when they turn or change lane on highways and big roads

 

The AI doesn't always give you enough space to brake when they switch lanes, sometimes they switch lanes right infront of you even when you're driving the speed limit and blinker would atleast let you know that they're about to switch lanes allowing you to react to it better, that exact same thing is also why switching lanes without using blinkers is super dangerous IRL and most people do it irl

 

Yea, i be aware about that. All i be saying is stop driving so near them and keep enough room so you will not hit them, blinker or no blinker. Is that too much to ask?

 

Umm, changing lanes withut using blinkers is actually even against the law afaik, and this was not really anyone complaining but rather someone suggesting an improvement

 

Switching lanes without blinkers is not against the law everywhere in the world, it seems to be mostly Western lands that have that law. I can list others that have no such law since it is up to whoever is driving. Middle East, Africa, South America, many lands in Asia. I have been to those lands where blinkers be seldom switched on and they drive alright since it is not odd there whatsoever.
