I don't get the point of letting someone else beta test a PRIVATE mod. If the mod is only for you, then why have someone else beta test it?

 

A private mod doesn't necessarily mean that it's for a single person, it usually means it's shared within a group of trusted people. Having others try out the mod when it's a WIP can help root out bugs etc.

i don´t get the point of making a "private" mod and sharing it, let people know about it on the forums or even beta testing it, it takes away all the private part
its like "hey i made this awesome mod look at it! oh, you wanna try it? well sorry fck u "

This mod at least was actually private, It had no beta testers whatsoever. I just saw a model of a car i liked and made it to a mod. it was released on 2 servers, one of wich exorion was part of. He lost his shit and started leaking crap. Better to download this carbage mod here with no risk for viruses than *insert generic russian mod site here*
