Update Speculation thread

Im getting hyped about tommorrow.
i know today nothing will happen

 

I'm pretty sure they already switched over to the 3 month schedule a few years ago or atleast announced it like 1-2 years ago

 

Keep in mind the American devs probably haven't even woken up yet, let alone gone to work. Today is still possible

 

Let's say:
PBR - tomorrow?
Traffic Lights on ECUS - tomorrow?
Linux Support - tomorrow?
Grid Map Rework - tomorrow?

Someone mentioned a possible trailer rework, but I don't know where he got the info from.

Widgeon - Most likely next update (~September)
Pidgeon - Most likely next update (~September)
JRI - Additional Japanese assets? Maybe the reason for not adding them in the 0.21 was the upcoming PBR/texture update. (~September)

Bolide Remaster - December?

 

Where is everyone getting the idea the wigeon won't be in 0.23, the model looked 100% complete from what we saw

 

I wouldnt go that far for the Bolide i mean i remaster cant take over a year and a half since we saw it first last summer

 

I'm pretty sure that most of the Beamng dev's live in germany where the company is located

 

YEp and they often add smaller things to.

I.E wheels more skins and such

 

As a fellow countrymen i can say BeamNG.drive is german engineering at its finest! <3

 

I'm not saying it's not possible tomorrow, but I think they would show at least Widgeon in game first together with Pidgeon remaster in some funny video.

 

Yeah but maybe the jbeam isn't complete yet. But maybe the devs are keeping the surprise.

 

I hope there will be a new wheel with it that is always a cool addition!

since when is tdev the measurement for update releases? or am i missing anything?

 

Tdev isn't the most active on the forums so it means nothing that he's not been online for a while. Also, he doesn't always write the devblog. Back in the day it was possible to see the author of the devblog and it was all sorts of senior BeamNG staff, not just Tdev.

 

Well i was just thinking he often posts the final count down is all. SO yeah.

 

He posts that around an hour before the update so that really doesn't mean anything
