Beams seem to spawn with higher spring values if hard reset. For example, ride height on vehicles might vary, and if a part with beamspring value near the point of instability is hard reset, it may become unstable but be fine after a soft reset.
The steering wheel nodes need to be fixed to prevent the steering wheel from ending up in the passenger seat in high speed crashes.
The steering wheel uses dashboard nodes usually so if this was the case the dashboard wouldn't deform at all.
All vehicles. Maybe mount it to the end of the steering column then? So it stays as one with the steering column mesh.
Hey im not sure if this belongs here because its to do with both automation and beamng but if you name a car lets say van (the h series co name) if you name it that then export it to beamng the h series dissapeares and when you click on the automation one the h series stuff shows up and from there idk what hapenes since i dont wana screw up my game. Im not sure if this happenes with other vehicles but my guess is yes. Again not sure if this belongs here but it needs fixing
The only way to fix it is for you to rename your Automation export to 'van2' or something else, as your export is overwriting the existing 'van' folder in \BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles\
That's not how it works, the dashboard can't have too many nodes as it's not too rigid compared to the body and that would probably make it deform weird, especially if it didn't have a symmetrical Jbeam. To mount the steering wheel directly there would require at least 3 more nodes, it would definitely mess up the dashboard deformation in that area. But maybe this idea is good, there could be a solution around this.
Just don`t put the steering wheel nodes into the dashboard group. just let the nodes be the steering wheel ref.nodes.
This curb (and the same with the other side) has been here in ECUSA for a while now, it's very brutal and doesn't line up with the ground. If you try to cut it, even with a taller car it would blow some tires or break the suspension. Cars at a normal height get caught on it.
Trigger deformgroups don't seem to be working, the trigger box still appears after the beam group deforms or breaks. Happens on all vanilla vehicles that support triggers, and all mods.
I'm unable to start a bus route with a modded DT40L, even a skin breaks it. I simply spawn in as a white bus (no ui or anything) and am spammed with messages like these in the console.
Since 0.22.2 I haven’t been able to do ANY bus route, regardless of if the bus is modded or vanilla. No matter what, all that happens is that the bus spawns but doesn’t move when I accelerate (only revs standing still with gear showing as Drive), and the scenario countdown never starts. Resetting the bus doesn’t help. Also the parts and all other menus are still accessible, which I don’t think they normally are in scenarios.
Stupid question: how do I restore a vanilla Beam config? I overwrote one of the vanilla LeGran configs by accident.
