I love this car. one of my favorites.
Why is it that all of my favorite cars are the ones that get the least attention from the community?
I guess I'll have to wait.

Hi, what about a Mercedes W124? It's a German 80's car which is safe but funny to crash.

I'm not even going to bother explaining why he isn't going to make one.

You don't need to explain. For people like you:

Make a car, that has the look of an W124. Better?

He knew you meant that. And because you don't seem to get it: The reason why Gabe most likely won't make one, is cause we already have the ETK 2400i... Which is an 80's rwd German car too. No point making one instead of focusing on car types that haven't been made yet.

I agree with you. I don't really care about the Sunburst, SBR4 and the 200BX either. But oh well, as soon as they are gone, the best things are saved :D Well, maybe the 200BX will have nice handling.. We'll see

The ETK 2400i looks really great. Like all the cars in beam.ng so far it could be a real produced car of its era and this one fits perfectly into the late 80s.
I really love the "Hofmeister Knick" in the style of BMW in the backdoors. But still it is not really looking like a german car.
So i went to wikipedia and looked some pictures up of the most common german mid-size sedans of the 80s:
Merc W124, Audi C3, BMW E34, Opel Rekord E2 and Ford Sierra.
While the ETK is clearly more of reminiscence of the first three, they all got some design cues in common.

IMHO the headlights need more height, since they're not bmwish. Nearly all european cars of the 80s have these big headlights. At the moment they are remembering me of a 90s Mitsubishi.
Also there is another designfault (as a german car! not as a car itself) which i cant put in words and so i took 10min in PS to illustrate it. at bottom is the original of gabester.

/and the top of the trunk could be more rectangular. :x

I know this post is nitpicking but as a german who still sees these cars of the 80s nearly everyday i wanted to share a another opinion.

PS i love the photoshoped coupe version, add a wing and it is an Sierra Cosworth.

    cheers

Totally agreed about headlights and trunk. They have annoyed me for a while but I never said anything since everyone else seemed fine with it :p

Why would you want to do burnouts in an old German car with four-wheel drive? If you want to use "burnout tires", just edit the jbeam so the tires are slicker, or whatever you prefer there.
