Hey there, my first car mod.
Starting a thread because I've already gotten this car further than most of my other projects. Any criticism will be appreciated.

The model is currently around 16k polys / 31k tris.

Thanks. Been working on it on and off for about 3 months. Took some good reference pictures when I was in Europe and have my favourites bar filled with as many reference photos as I could find.

Fantastic model you have there! Topology is up to scratch and the shading is excellent. Great car choice too. Looks like your dashboard is clipping through the bonnet though ;)

Looking forward to seeing this in-game.

Fixed the dashboard clipping through the main body shell (although it can still be seen slightly in wire)

    Current interior progress (very WIP):

The interior looks a bit roomy but that's because of the 90° FOV.

Nice work! One thing is bugging me: these edgeloops coming up and down from the door handles (that are making very thin polygons) should be terminated; try to have a grid-like topology. The door could do with another edgeloop as well. Don't be afraid to have triangles. Just merge the edgeloops. You'll have a cleaner mesh, less polies, and probably better deformation.

Wow this place has a really nice community.
Anyway onto the topic, like this?

Also is the steering wheel the only object not locked to 0, 0, 0,?

    Perfect topology, looks great :)

And yes, all the flexbodies should be at 0,0,0 with the transform reset (except wheels, but wait for the update for that ;))

Props will be transformed however they are in your 3D program.

Ooooh, I like it man! :D Really cool choice of vehicle, very out of the box. I love that. Seems to be pretty darn accurate too. Great work, really hoping to see more of you in the future! :D

I hope you're still gonna be saying that when you've been here for a little while :p Then again, a lot of "those" kinds of people are gone already :p

This looks beautiful! Never heard of Simca before... kinda sounds like a brand from A Clockwork Orange. The thumbnail had me expecting a 3 wheeled car. None the less, I can't wait for the release!
