Ai stops in a tunnel or bridge, or turns the car around. Why is that? And for your understanding, the attached video can be viewed in the gallery after downloading it.

Not sure why it’s called ai, it’s not very intelligent. Supposedly updates are coming in the future but as of now traffic is nearly unusable. Hopefully they buff it out
It seems as if the "AI" doesn't even know you are there, they just drive their lines regardless. Hopefully that will improve before career mode is released, so we can get some proper racing.
Would be nice too if the ai didn't drive right down the middle of the highway on west coast or do janky maneuvers at intersections like making a left turn from the right lane..
If the devs would make it where ai reacts to static objects it would help at least not make the ai ram a wall so easily. You could put maneuver a grand marshal in traffic mode and they may recover but when they back up to turn back around they slam into the barrier or anything for that matter and then they have no choice but to sit there. But the only way you could do that is probably with cameras strapped to the front and back of the car to detect when it's getting close to a object. But of course the devs don't want to add that in so we have what we have now that probably wouldn't get improved much
I know this is old but there's a AI bug that when AI going pass under bridge. The AI thing that bridge is same heigh as the car. so it attempt to drive there. Same thing to the car at the bridge. The way that I know is to try making it higher. Don't know how dev manage to avoid this in Italy, W-Coast, and other map that has road under the bridge.
Should have asked this somewhere else, but whatever You could get automation, its not that complex to make cars, but its complex in some kind of a way, you should watch some automation videos and then see if you can understand the stuff.
Ok I found the bug. Go to World editor by pressing F11. Then press the Road symbol (Decal Road Editor) and then choose the road path that has a strange movement. you will see it has weird sharp path at the bridge or over the bridge or sky way. Then check the Over object box. This will make the path go through the terrain and can touch the other object like bridge so you can make bridge. Make sure do this AI path to every path that are bridge, skyway, and tunnel.
AI cars can have different interpretation on the surrounding that is why it has unusual turns/ actions. Nevertheless, the developers will for sure address it to fix it and make it run smoother.
