Yeah... I think in the BeamTeam's mind, the only difference between alpha and beta is whether all the features are in yet - my source would be this text in the Steam Early Access explainer: but you are correct, it is technically in alpha
Hey look! It's the quote about me! (Don't jump to conclusions kids, stay in school. Pictures of cars in a gas station doesn't mean refueling is implemented.) Back to speculation, not much is known about the new UI, the only real currently implemented part are the loading screens, they really don't match the current UI, so I have to assume they are part of the new UI. I am assuming the UI will be mainly black/dark gray with white text and orange accents, and with the growing popularity of dark modes, this seems totally reasonable. Any thoughts?
this is my list of what i think should get remastered when top is first bottom is last pigeon bolide moonhawk GM h-series both pessimas
Pigeon won't get remastered anytime soon. The Teaser Thursday twitter post about a pigeon remaster was on April first, implying that it won't get remastered this update.
The GM has already had a remaster, I'm not sure why you expect it to get another one. Neither Pessimas need a remaster either.
I think it will be a dark mode UI with light version optional, both with orange accents. I anticipate the vehicle selector being more like a build and price: Choose a brand Choose a model Choose whether to look through basic inventory (like configs now) or build your own Either choose a preset car or make your selections Spawn --- Post updated --- Well... it's not exactly in tip top shape. And the pessimas... maybe not the most needed, but some better textures and LUA on the clocks wouldn't be amiss either...
The main menu is pretty nice. While it may not be running on the final engine, that is probably the design style they will be going for. I am surprised we have not even heard a peep regarding the redesign in the three years since it's been announced.
The GM is in a similar situation to the H-Series where it only got a partial remaster. There's definetly some quality issues remaining, including the interior and lights. While the Pessima siblings aren't in bad shape, they don't meet the quality standard set by the recent content either, which is the point of the remasters. IMO definitely lower on the priority list though.
the H-series is still in need of a remaster and more parts (and maybe a facelift version). I already discussed the possibilities earlier.
Just gonna mention here that the Miramar and Burnside are both extremely lacking in the content department, especially the former.
Cross the pigeon off of there, its not getting anything anytime soon the bolide does need one but its prolly gonna be minor, a model overhaul and maybe some new parts the moonhawk is (IMO) the most overhaul needing car in the game, its got 2 engines, and barely any customization. the GM and H-series only need revamped lights and both pessimas are quite good, the new pessima could just use some performance and rice parts
The Burnside only has 1 stock and 1 swapped/aftermarket/modified/??? engine, and both are V8s. And the only difference between the factory configs is the transmission. In terms of quality this car is good, but in terms of content it's really lacking to the point where it doesn't seem realistic. The Piccolina is from a similar time period and has 10 times more content.
quality-wise, i'd say the bolide is equally as bad, but it's much more "desirable", and has much more obvious appeal and content to add. while I too would like them to do the pigeon, though it may be quite low on the priority list based on its limitations, However, considering it's likely going to remain quite simple in construction and range of parts, it's possible they will slot it into the list somewhere.
