So i am working on a mod for the legran to make it more like the amc eagle. I was looking for engine options and found the Iron Duke was an Option??? A Chrysler owned company using GM Engines????? Is this true?

    bruckell isn't specifically chrysler.
in fact, all the legran wendover engines are based on GM ones, the iron duke for the I4, the buick 3800 for the V6, and the cadillac northstar for the V8.

AMC was not owner by Chrysler at the time iirc. I believe Chrysler purchased AMC in the late 80s or early 90s. AMC being independent before that didn't have enough money to design their own engines, instead opting to purchase GM designs or installing GM engines. For example, the Buick 3800's early ancestor's design rights were sold to AMC who used the design in Jeeps for a while until the design rights were sold back to GM.
