Hello! I am starting my first modding project on a car by taking the Ford Taurus mod and making it better. I have some progress done, like making the interior higher poly with higher resolution textures. I have a very small amount of knowledge with modding but am doing what I can to make it work. I am getting my engine information for this Taurus from https://www.automobile-catalog.com. I am not publishing this to the vehicle forum yet because I don't have permission from the author and I don't know how much I will be able to finish. Please don't get mad and just say this is a mesh slap or whatever because we know it is and the point of me opening this thread is to show my improvements made to it so it works better and is more pleasing to use. Did you even ask permission to modify this? Because I think you need to ask permission from the author before you even begin to start modifying someone elses mod.
I have this mod and it’s literally a peice of crap It is better to redo the whole mod It’s literally just a meshslap of ANOTHER mod so yea it’s crap
First, use conversations to ask the author, @baarry5444 for permission. Second, you should probably add "fix the entire fucking jbeam" on your list. As other people have said, the mod is a meshslap of ANOTHER mod so... Third, the exterior looks fine, just might wanna fix a few textures. The interior, just fix the entire thing, it looks like he just smacked a google image onto the interior and called it a day (or in this case, a mod). That's pretty much all, I'm not trying to be rude, just explaining everything.
jesus christ guys. He already stated he would not release, until he had permission. There is nothing that will prevent him from working on the mod meanwhile. It's not a secret that it's a meshslap. Read the topic before attacking.
Thank you so much @Zero , you guys on this forum are so toxic and unforgiving even when EVERYTHING is explained out within this forum! I WILL NOT release this mod without permission, I KNOW It's a mesh slap and need's re-done, that's the whole reason I opened this forum. I was PLANING on giving CREDIT to the person that made the mod once I found them out, it says that RIGHT IN THE FORUM ABOVE. Maybe if you guys took the time to read and understand the forum before attacking someone there would be more modders on here.
