The devs keep adding older cars, and more 'normal' cars, but there's no newer supercar. Automation mods don't crash as good, and most other ones are real life cars that get taken down for copyright. I think a proper supercar should be added.
The closest thing to a modern supercar in the game is the Hirochi SBR, although I am sure that it isn't a supercar? I don't know.
One of the things I like about BeamNG is the lack of supercars. It seems like it would be too easy to make a generic supercar and have everyone like it purely on the merit that it's a supercar, kind of like supercars in real life actually. The fact that the devs put the time and attention to detail in standard cars keeps the game feeling grounded and relatable. If I wanted to drive an unrealistic supercar in an unrealistic way, I'd play NFS. That said, the Bolide does need a refresh.
I have a question: could the ETK-K series become a supercar by adding a more powerful engine, lower suspension and cosmetic parts? Basically turning a sports car into the supercar, is that possible?
yeah, but with a different engine and some body parts, it could very feasibly stretched into the equivalent to a mercedes SLS or AMG GT.
It isn't. Its a shooting brake, closer to a Ferrari FF or GTC4Lusso. Also is rear engined, most supercars being mid engined. So if there was to be a supercar, it should be mid engined. The TTS2 is equal to a Porsche 911 Turbo or Turbo S.
nah, they should just make a modern Bolide. I like that this game has more normal everyday cars, because I think it makes the game more realistic than it already is. but we do need a refreshed Bolide.
I think the sbr4 is more of a gt car. it has 4 seats like a Bentley continental and doesn't really have that supercar shape. however something like a modern bolide or even a BrItUSh supercar eg McLaren, or Aston martin would be more fitting for a modern supercar although I do really like the (maybe unpopular) idea of a later 2000's early 2010'd supercar eg Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 911 or McLaren mc12 but idk just a thought.
That's really what they should do. 2000s-2010s Bolide (or other Civetta model) would give the Civetta brand more 'life'.
I don't know if I would go full supercar mode just yet... but I think something along the lines of the original NSX would be a great fit... perhaps some sort of swansong from Ibishu from the late 90's to early 2000's? The only reason I bring that up is because: NSX's are great cars... even if a little underpowered (usually doesn't end up being an issue with beam and all the mods though) The NSX was made with normal materials. A lot of Super Cars and Hyper Cars are made with exotic materials that are hard to properly replicate in Beam due to the 2000Hz physics cycle limit. But the NSX was made out of Aluminium mostly which is totally doable. Then stuff like bumpers were made of plastic... also easily doable. The NSX used what was mostly considered as an ordinary engine from Honda. Sure it was a special engine for the car... but it was mostly nothing new in terms of what Honda was already doing with its other engines. So an NSX themed car could use something like the Pessima engine and perhaps transmission... just a little tuned for some more soul. Finally the NSX because it has subtle styling. Its good looking, don't get me wrong, but if you look at an NSX next to a Diablo, you can start to see what I mean. An NSX themed car would definitely fit the art direction of Beam much better than something much more bonkers like a Lamborghini or Ferrari. Now obviously I am not suggesting they straight up make an NSX. All I am saying is a car made in the same mindset as the NSX would be perfect for Beam. Change the styling, change the mechanicals, but keep the same idea and soul of the car. A drivers focused car, meant to punch WAY above its weight class, but still be accessible and a joy to drive. That is all.
A supercar would be a bad Idea, has 0 customization, and plus, most, kinda a lot, are big suckers for more of the older-style cars.
Have to disagree with that last bit. There's plenty a youngsters about who aren't on the forum, who enjoy the supercars. But I agree with the rest. What we really need is a new truck. Preferrably something bloody ancient with a crashbox in it. Because the last time we had an official truck in the game was 2014 (T series.)
