I tried to change the dds files to png making and in the materials files and it still looks like this

Its based off the d-series so i think the updated d series messed it up

Not necessarily, you have to change the names in the materials if the texture file itself doen't match the extension specified there, regardless if it's png or dds. And yes, you have to check all the materials files if the mod has more than one.

So, just go through the materials files and check if the name of the texture is matching the extension in the file? and if its not change it?

Yes. Then save the file, zip the "vehicles" folder, and move it to your mods folder. Don't forget to delete cache by deleting the "temp" folder.

Yeah I tried it and it does have the missing textures n stuff. I tried looking into the files and messing around in there but there is like 3 different type of material files and couldn't get it to work. It may be the mod and have to wait for it to be updated or get someone else to try it.

Also the mod is almost 4 years old but I'll try it again later.

This is not a universal tutorial for fixing all texture errors... Definitely won't work in this case.

Will it still work without unzipping the mod?

For me I had to fix the path of the textures rather than the extensions. Just saying that could be the case too.
