This looks really nice! Love the oval, and thanks for listening to my feedback (might have been planned from the start, but please let me think my post some pages ago made the oval a reality xD)
I think this is the most exciting content release in BeamNG to date. If it's even half as good as this thread suggests so far, it's going to be very entertaining and very useful for testing.
How potato are you looking for? I think the minimum specs for this game are pretty low for what it is.
Heck you can run this game with a dual core and 4gb ram( been doing that lmao).. gridmap runs the best in it.. the only map I've been using the most lol.
It does run alright on a dual core, I did some testing using the Island map a while back and found that the framerate increases significantly with clock speed and core count (dual vs. quad) didn't really make a difference. The game does need a reasonable graphics card though, probably a GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 at minimum. My Quadro K620 can barely run Grid Map even at low settings.
Core count does matter, I believe the game tries to run each car on its own core. Therefore, the more cores, the more cars you can spawn in at one time.
you should keep the main area the same or maybe make a section called "historical versions of grid map"
If your ok with 30fps (which I am), an overclocked gt 710 2gb ddr5 is enough, even at medium settings.. and the game doesn't look terrible anyways. Sometimes even with dynamic reflections on. But yea core count really helps.. even with the ui The game runs on my single core, but tobuse the UI, I have to pause everything.. pain.
1. A Drift/Race track 2. A Offroad Testing Track 3. Drag Strip 4. Performance Improvements My Discord Is ishaq09#6969 If you have any questions
Somebody else suggested putting it on the mods page, like they did with dry rock island. This would probably be the best, as it keeps the map all new and consistent, but allows for use of the old gridmap if anybody wants it. Dynamic reflections on a gt 710?! I don't even use those on my R9 290!
I can turn everything up all the way on my gtx 1650 mobile, and still be cpu bottlenecked with one car. i have no idea why, or how.
It's an Intel i5-9300H... almost same performance as mine... try turning your performance settings to max in Windows. I think if you go to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Power Options, you can make a performance plan that keeps everything at max all the time. --- Post updated --- erm... what PC are you attempting to run this on?
