I usually go with values under 0.2 for my cars :)

I am glad to know that it was useful for you ! :)

    Hi everyone!

I have added 3 videos to the tutorial, made by the Youtuber where's fillman86:
    • The first video is a tutorial to maje the aerodynamics of your cars tunable:

    • The second video is an ew alternative to the creation of an electric engine:

    • The third video, added as an off-topic tutorial, is the tutorial for the creation of a trike mod:

I hope you will enjoy his content! :)

Edit: I have also updated my electric engine. It will work properly with the setting of the new car exporter now. I have also added 2 new race gearboxes

do you think you would add another tutorial on how to add gearwhine to automation cars? for a long time exported cars with sequential transmissions wouldn't work after an update in beamng when it came to their sound effects. i've tried to copy the gearwhine code to one of my cars and it didn't work. i miss them and would like to add them to my racecars otherwise they feel incomplete

thank you! even though i selected the sequential transmission in automation, when i export it to beam the whine is not there. it's been like this for months after an update in beamng caused this and i'm excited to see how i can fix this issue!

Hi! The tutorial has been added to the first post! :)

    Here is a copy:

    a. Open the file. JBEAM matching your car's engine:

    b. You should see something like this:

    c. Copy this:
    • "gearbox": {
    d. Use the Crtl+f shortcut to research it:

    e. Copy this:
    • "gearWhineCoefsInput": [0.80, 0.00, 0.65, 0.60, 0.50, 0.45, 0.40, 0.35],
    • "gearWhineCoefsOutput": [0.00, 0.00, 6.00, 6.00, 6.00, 6.00, 6.00, 6.00],
    • "gearWhineInputEvent": "event:>Vehicle>Transmission>straight_01>twine_in_race",
    • "gearWhineOutputEvent": "event:>Vehicle>Transmission>straight_01>twine_out_race",
    f. Paste it like on this picture:

    g. Save your original file and close it.

I would like to, but I don't know how to do it :(

I know how to make fully tunable suspension stiffness, bit I don't know if it's possible to change the ground clearance on an automation car :/

A new part of the tutorial is available: how to add custom intakes to your engines

If you follow it, you will be able to add 4 different superchargers and/or 4 different turbochargers to you engine! :)

I think you will have to edit directly the 3D model of your car, and, sadly, I don't know how to do that :(

I know how to do that :p
    • Open your engine Jbeam
    • Use the shortcut ''crtl+f''
    • Research "gearChangeTime"

    • Edit the corresponding value
It works with the automatic and DCT gearboxes! :)

My bad for responding early, it didn't work, first of all I didn't see gearChangeTime and so I tried putting it in myself and it didn't do anything, any other ideas?

You can't change the speed for manual or sequential gearboxes. What kind of gearbox did you want to edit?
