Update Speculation thread

The last two pages of messages belong to Vehicle suggestion thread, I would say. I do not think that we will get a new car this year. Yes, there is a chance that devs will surprise us like with the FCV, but there are few vehicles to be remastered. I speculate ( with no real facts and information) that in the summer update we will get Bolide or van remaster...

 

I think at some point beamNG will receive an update where you can get a new map of Germany and the German translation and maybe a new vehicle

 

There IS German translation. And not only that...

 

And a modern Bruckell Moonhawk to spice things up. ;-D

 

On nice, another "suggestion" thread aka "pls gib this because I like it and I don't care that we have already slightly different car in game" thread.

 

Yeah, a fairly large Asian SUV could be very nice. I also want to see something by ETK, since large luxury SUVs are all the rage nowadays.

 

If you guys want to talk about new vehicle types think about stuff that would change the "Meta" of picking a "fast car" something that weighs almost nothing, with a small engine and with a large emphasis on handling and something that has a long lifespan with alot of facelifts.





Imagine if i just referred to a Lightweight sportscar from the 2000s, that would be crazy right?

 

Let's speculate some then, shall we...

I speculate that the next car will be a fast one, something rather powerful with 300-400hp at minimum

 

I expect we will get either a modern European truck or a modern American muscle car.

 

I hope so beacuse i want a car with a mo powa (stock)

 

I expect the time will show the future

 

Which civic the classic 1997 or the ugly new one

 

The EK9 more round-ish Civic

 

Here's what we can, and should be speculating on:

1 - Remasters

It's logical to assume that every car currently in the game has to be up to par with one another, and the fact that there are some that aren't means that they will be at some point. We don't know when and in what order, but it's safe to say that at some point it will happen.

2 - New Vehicles

I don't know about you, but I haven't seen anything about a new car other than the probability that there will be more added to the game. The only thing I've seen is people making "suggestions" or try to guess what new vehicle could be used to fill a hole in the current lineup. Both of these are little more than opinions, (the first being only an opinion), and until we have a concrete idea of what the purpose of the game is supposed to be, or get a teaser of some sort, these statements, while fun, hold little truth.

3 - Career Mode

We don't know much other than it's in the works, and frankly, I don't think that anyone besides the devs actually have much of a clue of what it will be. Some people say it was originally supposed to be a demolition derby game, but was changed. The most that I see they'd do is derbies, various forms of racing (track, rally, hillclimb, etc), probably street as well, and then some niche things like stunts, Pigeon races or other stuff. It really depends on what the devs want the game to be.



When people make a speculation, everything should tie together. Have an idea for what the new car could be? Then see how will it factor into Career Mode. See what it could be used for and why it should be put into the game over a car that others think, for reasons other than your personal opinion. The devs aren't gonna simply add cars willy nilly without thoroughly thinking of the purpose it will serve in the game. This stuff takes time, and lots of it to accomplish. This isn't Forza, where they can add a ton of cars cause they don't have to worry about physics and minute details as much as the devs do, and have previous games to borrow from. In the end all I'm doing is ranting about something that shouldn't matter as much as it does to me, but I think that it's important to keep in mind just how much time, work and love goes into this game, and I think that it should be acknowledged and appreciated more than just stating what you want cause you think its cool.

I’ve been thinking it for every update, but I do reckon the bolide remaster will be the next one. We saw a glimpse of a remaster a while ago, and if it was put off for the wendover and legran it could be being worked on again. I think it’ll probably be a pretty big remaster, seeing how everyone is looking forward to it and that the car needs it.

 

What do you think about Barstow and Moonhawk future revamp?

 

Barstow doesn't need one yet imo. "The Moonhawk is in an abyss of neglect", like Ryo13silvia once said.
