Well, I'm stupid. I'll edit the post with the correct information, which may just be IDFK because who does know
For some reason, the Hopper engine and transmission seem to unmount themselves from the engine bay once a supercharger is added onto the engine, anyone else having the same issue?
that's most likely due to engine mounts being implemented into the vanilla version of the game. It seems to just default to the bone stock engine mounts on mod engines which once you add a bunch of power, they break.
yep got the same problem --- Post updated --- and yeah it's got a stage 2 supercharger on it then when i took it off the front driveshaft broke on "Hard" launches
This mod seems to break the textures of more than just the wheels. I'm not sure why it creates so many problems. It must override base game textures.. I might try to fix them when i can be assed.
That's because the game got a massive update to graphics and textures. They converted the old textures over to PBR textures which means this mod needs to have the textures updated to PBR and to support the new graphics.
I found a simple fix for it though. All you have to do is delete the "common" folder in "pickup_jdm_dove_fp.zip\vehicles". The only things stored there are wheels that were simply resized from the Pessima and other cars in the game.
I’m not savvy at all when it comes to making mods so I can’t make any real judgment. All I know is that deleting the “common” folder in it was the fix, and that I can reload my old Dove 4x4 configurations now. So I’m happy.
One of the first rules of making mods is to not replace vanilla content. If this mod does this, which it does as it turns out, it should have never been approved. One could easily make separate materials and textures for the resized wheels instead of modifying vanilla assets.
You don't have to remove the wheels. Just the materials file. The wheels still work fine without it. Most of it even works with PBR. Aside from the filler panel on the front and the skins. But the skins just work fine with the legacy system the devs were nice enough to leave in(Brightness and chrominess)
