This is my new favorite car! I'm so glad it exists!

 

Really nice addition to the game!

 

There's one thing missing from this car:
A luggage rack spoiler.

 

Yeah very odd that it doesn't have one, I've almost never seen a car of the Wendover's type without one of those.

And the fact that there's only one spoiler and it's a pretty sporty one is weird too (although the spoiler is really nice)

 

agreed, it'd be very nice to get some more luxury options and european lights (really I think every vehicle should have euro lights even as a conversion as I think it makes no sense a Japanese hatchback would only come with red blinkers but that's a rant for another day)

 

As a 32-year-old Brit that's always been obsessed with cars, this has just brought back all sorts of memories of family holidays to the USA in the 1990s. I'm sure it's more than just nostalgia but I can't get enough of the details on the Wendover. - The fancy tail lights, the cool retro dash, the beautifully-designed and realistic wheels and seats that look comfier than most brand new cars.

If you mean a roof rack there is one

 

Someone had to do it. RWD only, a really good dragster, easy to control and fun to drive.

While strolling through the parts, I noticed that the rear widebody bumper crumbles itself on its own when it's placed, does it happen to you guys as well?

 

In absolute love with this masterpiece of a car, from the hidden headlights, to the facelifted rear lights, and everything in between, especially the pace car and FATT. Only thing missing I can think of is a drag version, but its not too much work to make your own

The only way to make it work is to get rid of the rear bumper support. It's weird though, I didn't know you could install bumpers without their support? Works for the front as well.

Love it love it love it, easily the best car in BeamNG to date. Three bugs and one disappointment, however:

• The inside of the blinkers on the facelift headlights have no normals, i.e. you can see through that side of them. This should be a simple fix in Blender
• Missing normals on small engine bay parts (throttle body injection intake, intake hose)
  
• Many of the configs have the wrong shifters and the V8 SSE has the wrong steering wheel
• The Wendover has the coolest hood hinge of any car in the world, let alone in BeamNG, but there's no way to open it without destroying it! Perhaps a system of "breakable hydros" could be implemented so vehicle triggers could be used to open doors while still having the same crash physics?

 

Welcome to BeamNG, after 8 years in development, hopefully the Wendover will have been worth the wait.
