There's nothing on or in the dealership to indicate that they sell classics. It just says "Canyon Auto" and has signs telling about financing options.

 

@Diamondback, I figured that it could be possible but maybe for another rendition of the walking model?

maybe some abandoned cars for carreer mode or garage cars like in Forza horizon

 

what if in free mode there was a barn in each map
and there was a car inside each barn
and whenever you found it it would open the barn door and give you a new car in your vehicle selector

 

Considering that the dealership is named "Canyon auto", that there is a Hopper on their billboard and that the tarp covered cars inside are clearly Roamers, I think this is the off road dealership they said they added to Utah. Could this mean that Burnside, at some point, built a SUV or a truck?

 

Cool idea I guess but then they'd probably have to make several new cars.

What do you think about the idea of platform cousins, like the Chevy Camaro and the Pontiac Firebird? It seems simple enough, but I don't know whether it would be viewed as not putting in a lot of thought.

 

I don't really know when we'll get a career mode. I know they've been hard at it ever since. But it seems that with the new Walk Mode we're getting close. I think we may see small hints and changes throughout the rest of the year, but a fully-fleshed-out career mode seems like it might not be until next year when we get something concrete.

Those would be more "cooperate cousins". I'd love to see some, they aren't really any different than the (pre)facelifts so I don't see any reason for people to not want them other than the UI clutter. Different body work and engines on the same basic car. It adds to the lore, gives more flavor to individual configs (possibly including market segments, so price and availability in the career mode market is a factor too), and allows for more customization

The term "Platform cousins" would be more appropriate for the eSBR/SBR4, FCV twins, D-Series/Roamer/Charro/kind of the H-Series, and maybe the 800-Series/K-Series.

Depends how they do it. Unique cars as barnfinds is a bad idea in BeamNG. It just takes too long to make cars and would then be difficult to use all but a single config in game. I see two real options for barnfinds. The first is vehicles with special lore, such as Pete Burnside Jr's Bluebuck. The other would be unique parts like V-Drives/Swivel frames/special engines/etc... Or a combination of these options, kinda like the new FATT Wendover

 

I'm hoping for a series of well done sketches. the brilliant thing is that they could be used in in universe advertising and billboards. This could also solve the question on in universe competitors to the official vehicles.

 

On paper I would love this (even just as artwork for desktops and such), but in practice this would just be concept list 2.0 with people constantly asking "when release"

 

Im hoping they draw a line under American cars for a while. Theres a severe lack of British cars/maps. Also alot of the Japanese cars in the game are USDM only for some reason. I hope for 0.23/0.24+ they work on gloabalising the game instead of focusing on America. The Italy update was my absolute favourite as it added so much in variety. Hopefuly they'll do a "Japan update" with a rotary JDM car or maybe an AE86 kind of car with a Japanese map (along with making JDM RHD versions of the Japanese cars currently in the game). Or a "British Update" with some twisty backroads Britain vibes with a nice big English map with maybe a Classic Mini, or MG or Triumph kind of car.

TLDR: Basically I hope they glabalise the game, adding more things from all over the globe

 

I found a neat exploit with the walking mode. if you sprint into a car and jump at the same time you can wreck it, Streetfighter 2 style.

 

Anyone know how the vehicle pooling work and how to activate it ?
