Realistic Crashes (BeamNG)

Case: side impact, August 5th 2008.

Description: a driver did not look before pulling out of a side road and was hit by another car which could not stop in time.

Injuries: none, though the passenger in the other car tried to make false claims of spinal injuries.

Vehicles involved: 1993 Charmand 1200, 2006 Blackpool Superlite 150.

Location: Italian Isles.

Aftermath: the Superlite had to be shipped back to the UK for repairs. It was operated by a sports car tour company, and although they had two more Superlites they still lost significant profits and had to sell one of their older cars to stay afloat. The tourist passenger was refunded the 55 euros he had spent to get an hour in the passenger seat, but his injury claims were rejected.

June 25th, 2020

Description: The first race of the 2020 F1 season on lap 4,a driver lost a tire and spun.Then another driver hit him and caused a pileup.

Injuries: Sadly 1 died and many were injured.4 people died in the sands from the cars flying into them.

Aftermath: The drivers later recovered and the familys who lost loved ones were compansated.

Case: reverse accident, October 19th 2009.

Description: a car reversing out of a driveway did not look before doing so and was hit from behind.

Injuries: the driver of the reversing car was bruised by his seatbelt, and because the other car did not have seatbelts its two occupants both suffered worse- the driver broke his nose hitting it on the steering wheel, his passenger damaged her wrist and neck.

Vehicles involved: 1993 Charmand 1200, 1971 Autobello Piccolina.

Location: Italian Isles.

Aftermath: the Piccolina was totalled, and it was scrapped. The passenger turned out not to have any long-lasting injuries.

Case: head-on collision, March 1st 2011.

Description: a member of Italy's Protezione Civile was having problems with his radio, and while he was trying to fix it he drifted into the oncoming lane, bounced off an oncoming car, rolled his truck over and hit another oncoming car.

Injuries: out of the three occupants of the first oncoming car (the Pessima), only the driver had a sprained wrist- she had been leaning it out of the window when the crash happened. In the second oncoming car (the Charmand), both occupants had concussion and the driver nearly broke his neck.

Vehicles involved: 1996 Gavril D15, 1999 Ibishu Pessima 1.3d, 1993 Charmand 1200.

Location: Italian Isles.

Aftermath: the truck had been nearing the end of its service life anyway, so it was sold for salvage and its current whereabouts are unknown- the driver lost his job. The Charmand was totalled, and while the Pessima was repaired, it was taken off the road in 2013 anyway and has since disappeared.

Case: side impact, January 5th 2021.

Description: traffic stopped at a junction to let a fire truck through, except for one driver who assumed they had stopped to let her go. She was sideswiped by the fire truck and carried down the hill, where it hit a parked car while trying to stop.

Injuries: the driver of the car was killed upon impact.

Vehicles involved: 2011 Gavril Vertex SE, 2020 Viking 2170, 2005 Gavril Roamer.

Location: West Coast, USA.

Aftermath: the fire truck had been rushing to a serious emergency, but another unit had to go in its place, causing a delay of nearly 10 minutes resulting in the fire consuming two entire office buildings before the fire service got it under control. The truck was virtually undamaged, but its driver took a month or so off after the crash and even attended the deceased's funeral, though he was met with a cold reception because her family said her death was his fault.

Case: cliff fall, March 27 2021.

Description: Mr. Dumm Dumm (25) was driving with his car on a mountain when he played BeamBeam on his phone.
In doing this he lost control of the wheel and fell more than 1000 meters down the cliff.

Injuries: Mr. Dumm Dumm (25) was badly injured. Fortunately, he survived the operation.

Vehicles involved: Hirochi Sunburst 2.0 Sport RS AWD (DCT)

Aftermath: The car was repaired. Mr. Dumm Dumm hasn't ridden for a few days to a week.

Case: Impact with stationary cars, 29 July 2020.

Description: A 19 y/o French student who is in a universety in Norte, has a broken down car. He stopped on the side of the road. A 52 y/o man was driving home to Conca Azzurra. He didn't saw the car (but the car had his warning lights on, he was talking to the phone) and braked last moment. A 35 y/o off-duty road-maintenance worker cound't avoid the accident.

Injuries: The student was lucky to be on the side of the road, otherwise he will be injured. The 52 y/o had minor injuries due to his airbag.

Vehicles: 1994 Charmand 1200, 1999 Roth Alpha, 2020 Cherrier Miovi.

Location: Tunnel, Autostrada, between Norte and Fastello, Italy.

Aftermath: The 53 y/o man blamed the Charmand driver for standing on the lane, and that he didn't had warning lights and/or triangle set. But he had full blame after he said he was talking to his phone. The Charmand driver was at the right place and had the warning lights on. The Miovi driver was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
All cars were scrapped, due to lack of parts and that the cars were undrivable.

Case: failed recovery, December 10th 2017.

Description: a driver following their GPS got their car stuck in the entrance to a storm drain at the back of an industrial site. An employee attempted to help them out using his pickup truck, but failed to get the car out and ended up rolling it over.

Injuries: none.

Vehicles involved: 2004 ESCar Egos, 1987 Gavril D15.

Location: West Coast, USA.

Aftermath: the ESCar was left there, and after a couple of years the truck was abandoned in the sewer due to major mechanical failure. Both were recovered in the summer of 2020 during a major clean-out of the storm drains, and were crushed.

Case: impaired driver has multiple crashes in one journey, May 3rd 1990.

Description: a delivery driver turned up to work hungover, but said he was fine and was allowed to do his morning round as normal. He took a turn too fast and crashed into a parked car, but after briefly inspecting the damage to his van he drove off without leaving any details for the car's owner. At a junction about half an hour later, he tried to save time by passing a waiting car but got sideswiped in the process.

Injuries: nothing serious, but both the delivery driver and the two people in the car that hit him had minor cuts and bruises.

Vehicles involved: 1988 Ibishu CoVan, 1989 Ibishu Covet, 1983 Ibishu Dove, 1986 Autobello Luxor.

Location: Italian Isles.

Aftermath: the van was a wreck, so it was sold for salvage. A new owner picked it up and got it roadworthy again, using it as a general runabout until 2006 when it was scrapped with a blown head gasket (a common problem on Ibishu's 1.5l engine). The driver was fired and charged with dangerous driving, receiving a fine and being blacklisted from any kind of driving job.

Case: Bad merge causes crash, 29 October 2012.

Description: A man that had delivered 2 Turbo Meals XL was driving to Turbo Burgers' home base. He badly merged and hitted a police cruiser, sending it to oncoming traffic.

Injuries: None.

Car(s): 1999 Bruckell Prism Turbo Burger, 2010 Hirochi Sunburst Police, 2000 Ibishu Kashira Taxi, 1997 Ibishu Pessima Hatch

Location: Around the Highway, Redwood Forest, Belasco, WC, USA.

Aftermath: The Turbo Burger Bruckell driver was at fault and was fired by Turbo Burger. The Hirochi was a wreck and was scrapped 4 days later.

Case: loss of control crash, April 2nd 2014.

Description: a car cut off by a trailer lost control and hit the barrier.

Injuries: the passenger had mild whiplash but nothing serious.

Vehicles involved: 2005 Bitron B2, 1994 Gavril Grand Marshal.

Location: Italy.

Aftermath: the Bitron required major repairs. The car which caused the accident, an old Gavril, also lost control but recovered and drove off. When it was found by police it turned out to be uninsured, so the payout necessary to fix the Bitron never happened and its owner had to take out a loan for the work.

Case: Drowsy truck driver swerves across traffic, causes near-fatal accident. May 30th, 2004.

Description: A truck driver was driving on a bridge during rush hour. He was extremely tired, so he had a hallucination that there was a man standing in the road. The driver swerved into the other lane, forcing a Toyota AE86 over the median and causing a pile-up.

Injuries: The driver of the AE86 suffered a broken arm, the passenger of the same vehicle got a concussion, broken leg, and broken arm. They were very lucky to be alive. The driver of an estate car behind the AE86 drove straight into the back of the truck and got a serious concussion due to a malfunctioning airbag. Every other driver had minor injuries such as bruises and scrapes but nothing serious.

Vehicles involved: 2002 MAN TGS, 1985 Toyota Trueno, 1989 Chevrolet Caprice wagon, 1991 Ibishu Pescoupe, 2000 Ibishu Hopper, 1996 Hirochi Prasu, 1970 Autobello Piccolina

Location: Financial district of Belasco City

Aftermath: The truck driver took full responsibility on scene. His license was revoked and he was fired from his job. He also spent a month in jail and had to pay a 1,000 USD fine for drowsy driving. The passenger of the AE86 had to spend 9 days in a hospital.

Case: Lack of awareness leads to some slight damage, March 4th, 1992.

Description: A man parked his Pessima in front of his house after a long day of work. He opened his door without checking if there are any cars behind him. At the same time, a brand-new 200BX was being taken home from the dealership. The Pessima's door opened right as the 200BX passed by, chopping off the mirror of the 200BX and damaging the Pessima's door.

Injuries: N/A (none)

Vehicles involved: 1990 Ibishu Pessima, 1992 Ibishu 200BX

Location: Garfield Heights

Aftermath: Both drivers agreed not to get the police involved and the driver of the Pessima gave 200 USD to the 200BX driver to replace the broken mirror.

Case: Spinout crash.

Description: A family was driving their station wagon on the highway when the drifited into a lane and spun another car.

Injuries: The family was fine but the solaid driver suffered a broken arm.

Vehicles involved: 1988 Solaid Wendover,1990 Bruckell Legran Station Wagon

Aftermath: The solaid driver sued the family but lost.Bothe cars were losses

Case: T-Bone Crash, 4. 6. 2019
Description: A bank robber wanted to flee. He was way to fast and looked back, so he couldnt see the bus turning into the lane.
Injuries: bank robber was badly injured.
Vehicles involved: 1990 Wnetward DT40L City, 1992 Bruckell LeGran Wagon
Location: East Coast USA
Aftermath: Bus driver had to pay for the damages on the bus, bank robber went to prison after recovery. The Bruckell was bought by 2 dudes, who want to build it up.

 

Case: Rearending

Description: A legran and wendover were sitting at a red light when a pick up truck slammed into both cars.

Injuries: The solaid driver was unconccious and was rushed to the hospital.The truck driver and legran driver was fine.

Vehicles involved: 1993 Soliad Wendover,1992 Bruckell Legran Station Wagon

Location: WCUSA

Aftermath: The solaid driver sued the pickup and won.He later bought a old moonhawk.The pickup and legran were repaired.The wenover was totaled.
