Got the video to work thanks to a friend, beware though the resolution has done gone slightly because the file size was too big or something. Also the glare was so bad that i couldn't really see what i was doing, next month i'll have far, far better video that'll also include some driving and it'll be in the country during mid day so you can actually see shit. Here it is

A couple weeks ago I saw a guy with an older f150 in a parking lot, hood up, standing there looking defeated. He said his truck lost all electrical power and died. No crank, no headlights, no power on the dash. So he did a quick google search and read on a forum that his fuel pump control module, located near the gas tank, was the cause of his truck's complete loss of electrical power. He was ready to go buy a new fuel pump module and swap it out in the snowy parking lot. I left him to deal with it himself.
Um... let me preface this by saying that I've heard alot of car issues, but that I can always be wrong... does the guy really believe that Ford built a truck that can be completely wiped out the random failure of a fuel pump module?
Yes. I told him that was an unlikely failure, but he was convinced. There was another car there trying to give him a jump start, and the battery cables on the truck were hand tight. I saw him remove and replace them onto the battery posts by hand, no wrench involved. I asked if he wanted to tighten them down, he said no. The older I get the more I realize a lot of people have no clue how to fix cars, and it's no use trying to educate them.

Browsing through my car magazine stash, I spotted this hallmark of pre-Dieselgate Volkswagen's approach of "create designs and ask questions later" in the "previews" section. Apparently VW was considering not just making a 2nd gen Phaeton, but also offering it as a wagon.
They were planning lots of cars the replacement for the roomster for example was completly done just needed to start production. Also the Phaeton shooting brake is now the Arteon basically.
after dieselgate, I’m pretty sure Volkswagen recalled all TDI models and stopped selling the TDI as an engine option in North America.
