@SuperShep1 I will look into all wheel steering. I can't promise anything because that is slightly deeper than my current level but I'm always willing to learn.

@Xupaun thanks for the advice. I will see if I can implement a version of it.

@SuperShep1 Current mod that I posted is pickup front independent just moved and adjusted to the rear with solid mounted tierods.

Ok that would be pretty badass to see in-game. That suspension looks very capable, and if set up right would really be stable and handle any thing thrown at it other then a T-series lol

Even more excited to see how this mod progresses then I've been.

On a Jocular note: Well at least atm with them HD Coilovers and their around 55 degrees of negative camber they are ready for some kinda farming. Haha.

Looking into the truck, I believe that the camber problem is caused by the fact that the subframe is too high up. I would suggenst you to bring it a little bit downwards. Also, the rear wheels are a little bit off center than the wheel arches.

@Xupaun thanks. I have been working on the long travel model since the weekend, so I haven't gotten any changes made for the current mod. I was thinking about how I could lower the suspension without changing the frame and still keep things looking good. I have an idea that could fix both the height/camber issue and the offset, just have to test it to make sure I don't loose any travel. I have a long weekend starting tomorrow night so I should be able to get some work done.

Well, first test after remodel to fix height and offset failed. The upper control was shortened to fix the offset. I extended the upper ball joint and dropped the lower control arm to fix the height. I had to relocate the top coil mounts inward putting the coils at a 30° angle. When stationary it's perfect but during high speed turns it over extends and folds in on itself. I will upload what I have tomorrow and you all can give thoughts and ideas. The high travel mod is coming along but still far from done.

This is what I have for the first test. the heavy duty springs are the only ones I am including due to the fact that they are the only ones that kind of hold up.

Oooh, what's this another a test to the IRS? I'll gotta check it out! See how it be, and give what feedback I can. I may can't give technical how to fix something in the beams, but I can say how she performs!

Here it is, high travel full front and rear independent. The suspension is customizable in game so please let me know what spring strength and ride height you think performs the best. I set it up to spawn a little soft for climbing rigs. (note using on roamer will need to turn turn up spring strength because of weight in rear.) I built the rear suspension and found out during testing that none of the stock front suspension would go high enough to match height or performance so I made high travel front suspension too. I do still have some modeling to fix like the drive shafts not going to the diffs and a couple other small things.

P.S. remove spare tire because there is a little clipping with it installed. (I think clipping is the right term.)

I really light the height Highboy IRS! Though there is a problem, it gets way to stiff when the height is raised up past standard max height numbers(mainly in the front). Dono how fixable it is as I'm not sure the cause, I'd think it has something to do with the suspension going higher then it was designed to by the devs.

Don't get me wrong it looks great raised up(can't see the stiffness when sitting still), Albeit a bit narrow at max height with the max offset currently allowable

Been trying to make a car crusher out of the D-series lately and this suspension has potential if the stiffness can get worked out.

    Edit
: Also with the suspension not at max height to give some suspension travel due to it being less stiff, I notice sometimes after heavy acceleration/braking the suspension will stay at a lower height until say acceleration/braking in a different direction. From what I have found it seems to mostly happen to the rear suspension.

Extra Edit: I also found my d-series I'm testing the IRS on accelerates and brakes noticeably worse. I tested this with the vs same vehicle the other has 3-link SA's F/R(also the one with the HB IRS is actually 75lbs lighter). Seems like the wheels might break off a bit to easy as well. I don't mean to sound overbearing I just figure you'd like to know, and a I'd like to see if the issues can be alleviated.

All in all despite all issues I've posted, as it is, as of this post, I say 3.85 out of 5(Partly because I like the custom look of the rear suspension you got going with the HB).

I am about to post the Highboy 4 wheel steering I have been working on. It has some changes to coil positioning that fixes most of the issue with variable stiffness with travel height. It also includes equal length control arms so travel height won't be hindered by camber. I will increase the available offset so you can get the wheels out from under the truck.

@Divepunk if you post the wheels you are using for the car crusher I can customize a suspension to fit them proper.

The last one is the high travel version. If you go back some pages, you'll find the latest normal version (file name is PickupIRS.zip)

"Pickup IRS Test" will be best option for the lowered suspension if you are building a low rider. If you want a stock ride height I suggest using the "Pickup IRS". And finally if you are wanting extra travel for over the rocks I would use the "Pickup Highboy Independent". I will be posting an updated Highboy version that will also include an all wheel steering option.

Alright here's the rims/tires for my crusher/heavy offroader:

This mod: https://beamng.com/resources/iyb-off-road-tires.3692/ Rims: "Trial 1000 17x18 Off-Road Wheels". Tires: "Trial 1000 17x18 Off-Road Wheels" with "37x22.7R17 ThornTrax Off-Road Front Tires" I also use 17x9 rims with 48x17R17 Super Swamper Tires. Though More so the 17x18's with the 37's(albeit in part for clearance and stability atm).
