Thanks to this Mod, I was able to create Triple B Aussie Road Trains in BeamNG. --- Post updated --- So much many Combos that I could make too.
One thing that should be adjusted in this mod is suspension stiffness for the single axle bogie, and the single axle dolly because it hurts trailer stability on the pup trailers. Edit: I think the issue can be fixed by adding some kind of dampening system to the rear bogie because I added more dampening to the suspension and the problem is not nearly as bad.
Thanks for thinking along and testing stuff. I'll put it on my to-do list, although I can not tell when I'm going to work on it due to a chronic time shortage. Regarding the container limit; do you mean the ones where you can alter the weight as a variable? I won't be surprised as people like to overload those just for fun...
I found this PDF file for the Dolly Converter of Australian Road Trains(Double and Triple Axle). It has a blueprint of the Dolly complete with measurements. http://www.lustyems.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/2016-Lusty-EMS-Dolly-Flyer-WEB.pdf And here is one for American Great Dane(Couldn't find the Double Axle version): http://www.atlanticgreatdane.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Dolly-Sales-Sheet.pdf" And the literal Holy Grail I accidentally found full of blueprints for Australian Freighter Road Train Trailers: https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/view/26998848/classic-chiller-westnet-hosting Hope it helps you in trailer making.
a good way to improve the container would be to strengthen the frame and add cargo which connects to the frame instead of the whole container.
That is actually the base design of the container trailer. But the stock containers are not meant to be used for the transportation of cargo.
Hey, you might want to add som wooden beams to the metal coil cargo, its used irl to avoid the heavy ass coil to bounce fordward/backwards cuz that will cause the chains to break and... well you know what'll happen then lol
Just wondering how to get multiple trailers attached. When I try, I hook it up to the truck, and it works, but when I try to attach other trailers, it just detaches the trailer from the truck, and I can't get the trailers to attach to eachother individually.
Refer to this video I found. Start with the middle one, attach the last one, then move to the first trailer and attach the middle trailer. Make sure you have the fifth wheel over the kingpin since the first trailer's landing legs will retract so you'll have to need the truck over it so that you'd be able to attach it.
