What? Come on! Surely he knew that some people in the community would want to try different colors on it!
Part of the "spirit" of the DeLorean is that it's not painted, and most people only painted it to cover the damages to the body, the paint ruins the car imo. Unless it's the gold version, that also looks cool, black could look decent too but not that good. But imagine a red or green DeLorean, that would be ugly as heck.
DeLoreans are my favorite cars, they are pretty awesome and snazzy, I've seen many of them where I live, but they don't fly.
This mod is truly amazing you sir did an amazing job: I made a video with the Turbo version where in a police chase I get it up to 290 kph (very stable mod it crashes wonderfully, go and have a look!)

Normally, you shouldn't ask for release dates on the forums. Not only is it sometimes considered rude, but not even the creator of the mod can know when it will be finished.
