Not exactly dicks, but it is unfortunately increasingly common for people to beg for mods or pester a mod creator for exclusive access or a definite release date. So much so that some mod creators lose motivation or leave the forums entirely. So thank you for setting a good example and not doing any of those things.
One of the people creating content for OMSI (bus simulator) set a rule, which said that with every question for release date, the release date gets shifted a week forward. Quite surprisingly, it worked pretty well!
The way I see it it's more than likely some impatient children. I personally wouldn't mind them - but having created some content for another game myself it is annoying when people ask for a definitive release date.
In this game it didn't work well at all, I don't remember specifically what mod had something like this but eventually it never got released and was cancelled
You know the thing is most modders don't mind as well but the problem is their threads get awfully cluttered by such crap as I myself posted now and many posts above where posted At the end they have no positive contribution to the modders thread and I am posting this as an exception !
Quick question, how come I can't color the nosecone and tailcone? I want to make a blacked out DeLorean but the silver cones ruin the whole look. And because I assume you want to work on the BTTF stuff all the time, could you perhaps tell me what lines to change in the files so that the cones become colorable?
The author of the mod decided not make the Delorean 'paintable' in the first place as its real life counterpart never came with paint on it. It's not simply changing a few lines of code, you will have to engage yourself into some dedication here. So basically what you want to learn would rather be a question to put in the 'content creation' forum and the question would be something like 'how to make mesh colorable' or so
