Gavril D-Series addon 0.8.4

Yep latest update.
Wonder if its a mod conflict, Like when the prerunnner update came out and the Dseries texture issue happened than too.

 

Well they did redo the textures of the D-series as well, and AR’s update log mentioned that the files for his own prerunner parts are still in the mod and only the configs removed.

 

For y'all's information, the in-game repo takes some time to update. So basically you could've been downloading the old version thinking it's the updated one.

 

Ohh makes sense. Something like that happened with a different mod I tried to download a while ago, didn’t work right at first, but then deleted and redownloaded the next day and it was fine

 

I can confirm that you need to load the latest version of the game in order for the update of this mod to work. I've just cleared the pickup folders in the cache and loaded the latest version and i no longer have issues with textures. No mods conflict with this, you just need the latest version for it to work.

can confirm; cleared cache and downloaded newest version off of the in-game repository and everything works on my end!

So far I have found two bugs, one being that the brakes are offcenter from the wheel hubs, and the prerunner Twin Traction Beam front suspension breaks upon spawning as seen here:

only appears on the front suspension. I will update this if I come across anymore bugs

supercharger pulley is offcenter for me, unsure if this is just me or not
EDIT: the supercharger pulley is caused by a conflicting mod, and my guess is on @iRetr0x 's gavril engine pack

So far so good, only a few small minor things that which ThatCarGuyDownTheStreet pointed out already were the ones I found. Will also post if I see anything else that isn't already covered. Other then that really happy to see this mod back up and running.

 

Lights are blinding, and weird black line in lights

 

can anyone explain why the headlights are yellow?

 

I had to do a clean reinstall to get rid of the yellow lights. Then when I copied my saved mods, screenshots, vehicles and settings folders back to the user folder, the yellows came back. Deleting the old settings folder, validating the files and resetting my options finally did the trick.

 

Turns out on my other computer ( i'm on it right now ) Actually has no problem with the mod. textures fine and everything.

 

Delete the mod, the download it again

 

I have a problem with headlights' textures. For the rest, nothing strange. Nice mod!

Hi guys,

thanks for the constructive feedback. Hereby the summary of what I read:

- supercharger pully offcenter: Could be caused by another mod. I'll rename the flexbodies to prevent it.
- radiator hose not connected: Will adjust the flexbody
- headlights: yellow/black line/blinding: A yellow headlight can be caused by a caching issue. Latest version of BeamNG kept changing the headlights and materials where the oldstyle headlights were based upon. That black line can be caused as I quickly slapped the texture map to the new textures, maybe I did that a bit too quickly. I'll see if I can adjust the headlight props to decrease the amount of blinding.
duplicated oldstyle prerunner configs: I'll check that one
- The brakes being offcenter: I'll check and update
- Prerunner Twin Traction Beam front suspension breaks upon spawning: @ThatCarGuyDownTheStreet; are you sure those beams are broken instead of just highlighted? I've highlighted several beams in the suspension to be able to see the geometry. Those will show up yellow. Broken beams should show up red. Also I'm not able to read those errors in the printscreens you provided. Could you please upload those in higher res?
- Texture issues: seems to be a caching issue or having downloaded an older version (as the in-game repo seems to have a delay)

ideas:
- put my version of the prerunner back in: I'll check if I can update those parts easily. Often it is quicker to redo the parts instead of adjusting the texture map, but neither is fun to do. Are more people convinced that my version adds something to the game besides the official version?
- sunvisor: Good idea, I'll check if I can do that one.

 

Also for everyone: mod may conflict with H-Series lights and windows. Makes the headlights and taillights yellow, means probably no texture. And the windshield is black from inside.

Luckily clearing cache should fix this problem
