I don't mean any disrespect here, but that's stupid. How would one decide what period of time after a teaser was allowed before the thread must be locked? What if someone finds, oh, I don't know, some unreleased wagon's body hidden in the game files? Would they then have to wait until the thread is unlocked to share their discovery? If you know there haven't been any official teasers, then you don't have to read this thread, but you do, because you know there's a possibility of someone finding something in the downtime.
OK so we know of the Sedan body slot. But has anyone posted the FWD, As well as lifted springs. SO the wagon is 70% ( EST )confirmed for Beamng ( and not a mod )
I don't think that anyone's shown that yet... Also, I think you meant "(Est)" as "ETA" stands for "Estimated Time of Arrival", and I think you were looking for "Estimated"
And then suddenly tomorrow will have teasers of Wendover and Bolide and Legran and... *schk* *schk* *schk and waves hands in the air* Back to normal: That`s a sign we should stop being active here, and wait for news...
Sunburst i think Opps someone already said it ( sorry ) But i wonder if they show a photo tomrrow or not? Itsbeen a while
In an attempt to maybe get this thread back on topic... Updated March 26th 2021 V0.22.0: Anticipated release early April - Early May. This is the standard release window for the spring update, no reason to think they will deviate from this. Soliad Wendover: All the way back in December 2012 we saw the first concept art of this thing. Originally planned to use the V6 from the LeGran. We already got the temporary thumbnail obsolescence confirmation, It was Originally a sedan but changed to a coupe to differentiate it form other cars in game. (Source 2). We saw a shot of her back in August and it seems a bit more upscale than the original concept. There's been some interest in her seeing a transverse V8, as this would up her uniqueness a lot and match the upscale feel from the entry-level luxury car V6. It's safe to say she will have a digi-dash, and there is room for an EVA, which would require a new system in game which could be repurposed for some interesting things. There's also a fair bit of room for platform cousins. Notably a sporty SWB. There's no evidence of this, but it would fit well with their intent of differentiating it and after the release of the FCV twins it wouldn't be out of character for the team. Of note is the highly requested gen 3 stock car. Personally I don't see this happening, it wouldn't use any bits of the Wendover as we know it and would effectively be an unrelated ground up new car. EDIT: March 23rd Teaser Tuesday was an interior shot of the Wendover. This is the first time we have actually seen the thing in game properly. Bruckell LeGran additions: There's a bunch of stuff in game and one leaked imgur photo that suggests a 4x4 lifted wagon, like an AMC Eagle and an A-Body had a baby. AWD is also possible, as the Pontiac 6000 STE had. No idea if there will be new bodywork for the LeGran to accompany this to make a cousin like the Tograc/Vivace relationship. It seems fairly likely that the 4x4 conversion will also allow for a RWD conversion (without that, the drift steering rack in game is rather useless). At that point we are halfway to a 1980's Moonhawk. Although we don't really know much anything about what we have seen (and therefore no guesses on how close to complete it is) there is certainly a lot of potential for cool stuff. A 1980's Moonhawk might be a better candidate for that gen 3 stock car everyone wants compared to the Wendover. EDIT: March 9th gave us a Tuesday. double LeGran derby car Teaser. Here's all the stuff I noticed that is new Civetta Bolide Remaster: Way back in the industrial/port remaster video there was a shot of the Bolide with these changes. No idea when we will see this stuff in the public build. H-Series content: The van has got even less content than the Roamer in the trio of remasters, and devs have on multiple occasions told the community to be patient as it will get a fair amount of content. The comment suggests at least one facelift and more body styles as well as updated textures. There's a lot to discuss for possibilities here so I'll just link to an older post of mine discussing possible content additions. There are similar posts from other members in that thread for anyone interested in speculating specifically about the van. It's been awhile since the trio of remasters began and we have yet to see all that much for the van. Walking mode: No idea when we will see this or what the particulars are, but it's been effectively confirmed. (Source 1) (Source 2) (Source 3) Edit: The week of March 28th Diamondback and TDev dropped multiple teasers in the update speculation thread. TDev pushing a Bluebuck off a cliff TDev switching cars TDev showing the hit box TDev using nodegrabber in FPV Diamondback being tossed around inside a box truck Diamondback playing BeamNG.Clusterbus It's worth nothing that none of TDev's videos had dynamic reflections turned on. Strange. We see from TDevs videos that the controls include sprinting and crouching. Gridmap Revamp: Concept was shown on March 2nd. The team would need to move at a ridiculous pace to get this from concept stage to release ready for this update. The usual development limbo stuff: H-Series side door, Ibishu 200BX Gavril 4.5 swap, D-Series wheel lift tow truck, dyno, etc... Of note, the mystery UI that was mentioned once in August 2018 and never again. We really could use a revamp of the UI. The FCV and D-Series selectors are rather messy but there's little that can be done due to how the current UI is coded. Special Note: Map content. They recently started collecting suggestions for a potential gridmap remaster, so the only way we are seeing that in this update is if the devs pull some "they've gone plaid" development speed and bend the fabric of space-time to their will to get an entire map remaster done in 6 weeks. Being that cliff is another sandbox map, I would think they would do the same suggestions thread approach that gridmap got. That just leaves ETK Test center, Automation, and Italy. Italy was recently finished so if they wanted to add anything then we would've seen it in 0.16 when they "finished" the map. Automation is in great shape and a collab map, so I doubt we will see anything done with that. There's been no hints at an ETK Test Center remaster, but it's the only one left and it really needs to be expanded to be a full map. Other than that, we can only guess what that sub-team has been up to. Note: EruptionTyphlosion has theorized that the Covet will get something body style related due to the rename of its unibody (See below). This may be nothing, though it is a bit odd to see the rename. Maybe a CRX, maybe a 5-Door shuttle/wagon, maybe a sedan... There's lots of options there.
I suspect that the Covet might be getting a 5 door hatch version. The body was specifically renamed to "3 Door Hatchback Unibody". I feel like it would have just been named "Hatchback Unibody" if they were just planning to keep it as one bodystyle or add a non 5 door hatch version.
Maybe, although it could just be for clarity or to match with the rest of the cars. I don’t see it since that’s really the only reason to suspect it.
The thing is, they only specify doors if the vehicle has multiple of the same bodystyle with differing door counts. For example, the LeGran just has "Sedan Unibody", as it would only have 4 doors on any sedan version. However, the Bluebuck has "2 Door Sedan Body" and "4 Door Sedan Body" for it's 2/4 door sedans respectively.
