Hello all, I hope your all well and safe! I’m a super new starter to modding and will probably take some time to create my first mod but I really want to make some rally cars from the real world (scratch built). I’m thinking of making the real car but naming it and badging it as one of the beamNG manufacturers and many have before. What I want to find out from this wonderful community is what rally cars from the real world would we like to see in beamNG ??? If your reading this and are interested in what I want to achieve, please feel free to leave your suggestions of what car/s you’d like to see created. Thank you so much for reading and I’ll look forward to getting my first build under way once I have some feedback on what we would all want. Take care! MrRicardo93
very cool, but it would be quite hared to make a rally car without making a stock version too. you could go the LKS Prerunner route, and if you do i would suggest naming it the ricardo something. I would love to see some sort of peugeot dakar suv/hatchback thingy
Yes that is true, I think that will be the way I go. I plan on making the car but with rally parts and additional so people can make it their own. I hadn’t actually thought of a Dakar vehicle! Something to put in my ideas for sure! Thank you --- Post updated --- Also I’m not sure how the LKS pre runner was made as I haven’t looked into that vehicle too much since beam added their own pre runner
Also I’m not sure how the LKS pre runner was made as I haven’t looked into that vehicle to much since beam added their ohh okay yeah but like you said if I build a rally car I might aswell do the normal one anyway as there similar
By "some time" it will be atleast 9 months & over 2 years to finish. Modding, especially for BeamNG, isn't an easy task, so it requires A LOT of patience & determination. Many many mods have fallen quickly due to people not realizing how difficult it is to create a mod while at the same time people don't want to help you just because of how much time & effort needs to be put in which puts you "on ice" per se. If you will be determined & will continue working on your mod, people may start giving you help, be it with modeling, jbeam or texturing. For you being a starter, I wouldn't go throw myself at trying to make a real life car because that will take ages & you will just quit after a while. I'd recommend trying to recreate some everyday items to get yourself familiar with how Blender (or other 3D modeling program of your choosing) works & then "stepping up" to the next level by creating more complex things like rims, body kits etc.
You know what, although I am super determined to eventually make a real car mod. I will 100% follow your advice! Thank you for a real helpful insight Maybe make some props and stuff and if people enjoy that then move on to parts for existing car etc before making a whole car. Once again thank you for the detailed honest reply
