this is interesting as i have read about afew lower spec computers getting better fps than me, since the update i get 16 on small island(all lowest), with an amd a6-5200, yet an amd a6-3420m can get better than me, i compared mine to it on http://www.cpubenchmark.net and i got, around 2400, and the other got 2000, so i'm confused

Also make sure that your laptop isn't using its onboard graphics processor if it has one, if it does have 2 graphics processors, go into your BeamNG folder, right click BeamNG exe, Run With Graphics Processor > NVIDIA High-Performance Graphics Processor

New update did bump up the graphics though so it could just be your GPU not up to the task

I just got a 13" MBPr with a 2.8 i7 and 16 GB of RAM and can play this at Apples recommend screen resolution of 1440x900 (I think) at about 20-30 FPS on normal settings. :)

That's the GUI scaling, not the resolution. They make it so simplified that it gets confusing, ironically, and you can really only know if you read about it elsewhere. The scaling only makes OS X and retina-supported applications make all their GUI elements (buttons, text, etc) bigger so that they're the same size as if you were using a non-retina computer at 1440x900 resolution. Regardless of the scaling setting, the system is still pushing an impressive 2560x1600 pixels (otherwise retina would be pointless ;)). But I'm not sure whether or not BeamNG.drive runs at the full 2560x1600 resolution when scaling is enabled… that's a lot of pixels to deal with.

I was going to say that 11GB is a strange number. Glad you found the bottleneck. Maybe I should investigate the two odd 1GB sticks I have in my computer.

    My specs:

    HP dv6 6b66ew

    Intel i7 2670QM @2.2GHz
    Radeon HD6770m 2GB
    8GB of RAM
    500GB HDD 5400rpm

Hardly playable with Bruckell Moonhawk car (15FPS), quite playable with other cars (25-40 FPS). 80% realtime used to fix my FPS but since it's gone, I either have to struggle playing at 100% realtime with low FPS or watch the show at 50% realtime, which is quite time consuming :(

Yes my laptop runs about 30fps on GridMap and about 40fps on Pure Grid and 14-20fps Dry Rock Island and 20-30fps Small Island @720p

All settings are on Full and 1x Anti-aliasing (Vsync is on) (720p)

    Specs:

    Intel Core i7-3630QM
    Nvida GeForce GT 645M / 2GB DDR3
    4GB RAM
    Laptop: MSI CX61
    OS: Windows 8
    BeamNG: Pre-race update

There is a image in the attachments of the specs (don't worry about the screen size (I use a monitor))

My laptop runs every map I've tried so far smoothly, occasional freeze when crashing into something really fast. I can do 3-4 car demolition derbies, I can do 5 but at 5 my FPS drops to about 20. On Dry Rock Island I get about 30FPS with normal settings. (Editing in specs)

    MSI GT60 Dominator 424

    - Intel i7 4810Mq
    - 870M
    - 8GB 1600mhz RAM
    - Windows 8.1

I used to run this game on a Late 2012 Mac Mini with a 2.5 ghz i5 and Intel HD graphics 4000 with 16gb DDR3. Gameplay was constantly smooth.

    Medium to high graphics.

MSI GT780DX+R (hacked GT783DXR bios flashed thanks to some n00b from TechInferno <3)
    i5 2450M > i7 2720QM (got it EXTREMELY cheap, 45e/61$!)
    GTX 570M OC'd 735/1470/1600 (runs Crysis 2 on almost MAX with 60 fps :v)
    8GB RAM
    FHD screen, calibrated (highly recommended!)

D15 on Grid. 23FPS with postfx off and settings low at 1920x1200. 45FPS if I go into a 1280x720 window.

    Dell Precision M4400
    Core 2 Duo 3GHz
    Quadro FX1700m overclocked to 815/950
    4GB RAM
    Win 7

It's okay for gaming I guess. (GPU is on par with the 6550D in my old A8-3850 at stock.) Only problem with the GPU is that it can use up to 50w at stock (For comparison, the NVS 160m that my E6500 used to have had a 12w TDP and used same heatsink.) which means that unless I force it to run at a lower pstate my battery life sucks and it gets really hot. (It'll last a bit over an hour while gaming with the GPU at stock speed. It will last over 2 hours of gaming at pstate 8 and well over 3 hours of normal use at pstate 8.)
