Picked up the last few Cities Skylines DLCs that I was missing today. There's a pretty big sale going on.

Just got the first part of a not yet FDA approved Covid-19 vaccine under an emergency use authorization. It will be interesting to see if I encounter any side effects.

Hopefully not, why? Do you normally react poorly to vaccines?
I have this really weird thing where every year I've gotten the flu shot, I've gotten the flu, and whenever I don't, I don't. Every other vaccine I've ever had has been great, but the flu vaccine particularly carries this odd phenomenon. Since this holds true every year, I simply don't get the flu shot and don't get the flu.
Yeah, I know, that's not how it works. It works for me though, and that's all I need.:D

Yeahhhh I'm not taking that vaccine until I know it has no side effects, especially considering it messes on the RNA level and that can get sketchy if it screws up.

"No side effects" is impossible, but the most common side effects are temporary, benign and are actually signs that your body is building immunity to COVID-19. Not saying don't do your research, there's a reason drug commercials always end with "Ask your doctor if Viagra is right for you," but make sure you have an accurate understanding of what the vaccine does, how it works, and the benefits as well as risks before you write it off.

And no, it won't change your DNA.

Oh don't worry, I know I'll get banned, probably permanently, if I say anything about it again.

Speaking of the current Covid crisis, today as I had one of my monthly several mile walks, I passed a local burger joint similar to Burger King or McDonalds. With the current measurements in my region all hamburger restaurants of this type are not accessible at all anymore, unless using the drive in. But walking through a cold and sunny environment and receiving the scent of burger menus coming out of the place I couldn't resist anymore. So I decided to line up between the cars at the drive in :D :D Funny enough my order was taken immediately and the lady even said "Please drive further to the second counter to receive your order" ! LOL

About a month ago I got two free snowmobiles, one of which was my dads old one that he sold to a friend about 10 years ago. A 1987 Polaris Indy Sport, and my dads old 1995 Polaris Indy XLT Special. Both were sitting outside unused for about 5 years. I cleaned the carburetors and fuel tanks and got them both running. The sport needs some work to run good and be reliable, but the XLT runs great. It’s too bad he left them outside though, my dad kept his in near mint condition, now it’s hard to believe it’s even the same one. The clear coat on the hood is peeling, seat is destroyed, and all of the plastic is brittle and faded. I’m planning on “restoring” it over the summer.

Now that I got a good one, my dad wanted another one. He bought a 2011 Ski-Doo MXZ. It needed some work, a track stud went through the heat exchanger (like a radiator), but it was cheap and in good shape otherwise. We got them both fixed up, and riding around the yard all seemed good, ready to go try trail riding. We had to rebuild the trailer since it hasn’t been on the road since my dad got rid of his sled. New tires, lights and wiring, a new deck, and cleaned and repacked the wheel bearings. We finished that up last night, and today we took them riding. We went about 40 miles, and no problems with either of them. Mine needs the rear suspension rebuilt, but I think that can wait until I’m done with it for the year. That was my first time ever trail riding, and my dad’s first time in about 15 years. We had a great time, I wish I got one of these a long time ago. Now that we know they will hold up we can venture out a little further. We’re planning on going again next weekend, probably try somewhere different.

    Anyone else into snowmobiling?

Been hard at work on my Jeep for the past ~6 weeks or so. Started by replacing the rockers with 6"x2" steel tubing before building a fully TIG welded scratch built cage in-house and I've since moved onto mounting/plumbing a fuel cell in the trunk, as well as fabricating a new rear bumper.

I had a custom set of PRP seats made up for it to match the original upholstery, which look gorgeous when paired with the Racequip 5-point harnesses.

Overall, I'm super stoked with how it's coming along, however I'm far from done. I still have plans (and barely enough budget) to tube out the front end, beef up the steering and trackbar with 1-ton crossover steering components, and plumb in a hydraulic assist ram for the steering. There are also many other odds-and-ends repairs and modifications we need to make before it leaves the garage again in spring.
