Vehicles in BeamNG is a very complex thing to create, which is why there isn't 100+ vehicles to choose from, even though the game has been out since 2012/2013. If you read this https://documentation.beamng.com/vehicle_system/index.html you can see a lot of the things that goes into creating a vehicle, and you still have to create the 3d model. You can always give automation a try, they won't crash like stock cars but it's a lot easier to do and fun. tl;dr it's difficult.
yo yo yo i whipped this up for you its just a basic automation mod, based on the 1st gen, but it looks and drives pretty close to the real thing, i modeled the specs pretty closely
I actually do have a WIP Chevette... Haven't touched it since 2019... However I'm sure I could find some motivation somewhere to actually finish it
I wanna motivate you, i want an american eco hatch any time! They are perfect. They are slow, bland, bad looking, unsafe, and full of fake leather and cloth.
The American hatchback didn't improve much throughout the '70's and '80s, that's for sure. My grandmother had a Plymouth Horizon that was CONSTANTLY in the shop, and once it was discovered that part of the unibody had rusted in half she junked the thing and got a Camry. I've probably told this story before, but I have the memory of an 80-year-old man so IDK
