The mega Gavril engine pack does that, you can just deactivate it in the mod manager and clear cache.
THIS IS A MESSAGE FOR ALL OF YOU. Before you come here telling ,,Mod is not working help'' try: 1.Clearing cache. This will most importantly get you rid of any issues with parts/textures not downloading or working properly. You can do this from the menu that shows up first when you launch the game. If that doesn't help, try to... 2.Unsubscribe from the mod and clear cache. THEN subscribe to the mod again. Then... 3.Try deactivating all your active mods but this one. maybe there were some corrupt files and mods. 4.Then, only THEN come here and ask for advice. Edit this guide if you know some more steps. Thanks for your attention.
Holé guacamolé, yall talked a lot on this discussion tab when I was gone XD Sorry for not responding to yall I had some issues in my life and I just wanted to take a break from everything, also I had no patience and the primary thing about doing mod in beamng is patience hahaha. I'll try restarting doing stuff Also big thanks @PetrKn0ttDrift for helping people having problems with the mod really appreciate it!
no problem, I'm always glad to help. Also, if a mod is broken after a big update and the tag is saying "Outdated" or "Unsupported", it may mean that the update caused bigger issues that need to be fixed. a perfect example is the 0.20 update, which revamped certain parts of the lua (I believe I may be wrong), and a lot of mods were broken. If the mod is not completely dead, the creator will most likely fix it soon. Don't push it, let them take their time and fix all the issues properly. Mod authors are just people like us.
There is not going to be a nos option anytime soon so please stop asking. you can make your own mod that enables nos if you want.
Its not a power problem, its more of the transmission, the rpms, and the rpms at which it makes the most power. The engines make peak power at a very small rpm range, so there have to be lots of gears to stay in that rpm range. Because there are lots of gears, the truck is constantly shifting, and not putting down power that much of the time. Adding more power would make it even worse as the torque converter/clutch would slip, and the truck would spin the tires at high speeds, making it hard to control.
that's why I always switch to realistic gearbox behaviour. as I drive uphill, the truck just keeps downshifting and upshifting which means there is little to no time where the engine actually works.. 2nd gear, differentials locked, and hope for the best. EDIT: Just realized I'm the 600. post of the thread.
