this is an awesome mod, but have you considered adding these 3 things? 1: diesel engine options, 2: manual transmission options, and 3: a proper "Drive" gear instead of "M1" "M2" M3"? I think those would add to the awesomeness like 200%
Dude this truck is crazy, I just found out i can get back on the ramp from the landing in Car jump arena, you need the maxxed out engine though. this is flat our crazy, I do not think any other vehicle (short of an airplane) can do that
TrackpadUser updated Trackfab Brawler with a new update entry: Texture rework and central tire inflation Read the rest of this update entry...
The inflation system is really nice! As a suggestion for a following update, could the minimum pressure be adjustable? because different tyres act different on a pressure of 3 psi...
The system was mostly adjusted for the larger crawler tires, and they tend to collapse when hitting rocks at pressures lower than 3 psi. Are there other tires you're using with this mod that you think could take a lower pressure?
turned out I had the run flat tires from nix crawler tyres installed... Obviously that doesn't work. other crawler tyres turn out to work just fine. the inflation system itself would be an awesome UI app though
reason for a manual is mainly preference, and they give lots of control, although I dont think its as important as a automatic in a vehicle like this really tho, its your mod, feel free to make it into what you want
Hey! I am Icelandic and I love formula offroad, I really want to make realistic skins (but not the bodies) like "Ótemjan" witch is my uncles car and he actually does practice using this mod. I really wanted to make him the skin that his truck is in real life but I am not understanding how to make a skin with your mod, I have made a bunch of realistic Icelandic coast guard skin for GTA V but now I see that this is way more confusing. I do not know if you even allow people to make skins but if it is possible I would love to be able to make it. Keep up the good work! (picture of his car here)
Off topic but I didn't even notice that you are a dev now and your mods are used as references on some documentation pages, that's cool!
I'm mostly working on said documentation pages, which is why you might see my stuff in some cases where vanilla jbeam might be a tad complex to show things correctly
yeah i have checked it out but i cant seem to be able to make a skin for the mod since it does not do the same things as the video does. i cant find the materials, skin and jbeam file.
The skin template in the mod is currently outdated, use this one instead. That's a mistake on my part when I redid the body. I have an update in the making with a bunch of minor fixes including that, just need to find the time to finish it I'd argue the current skin tutorials aren't the most clear, and are kinda outdated, namely with the use of .cs which has been deprecated for quite a while. It's on my todo list. The things you're going to need are in the "formulaOffroad.jbeam" file, which contains the current skin references. You can just copy one of those into your own jbeam file, and change the name and "globalSkin" Then make your own copy of the "skins.materials.json" file, renaming it to something else. Change the names in all the "Formula_Body.skin.GlobalSkin" to use what you entered as the "globalskin" in the jbeam. The mod currently only has full colorable skins, using the "colorPaletteMap". If you're planning on doing the same thing, just put the path to your texture instead. For the other types of skin ("non colorable" and "partly colorable"), I don't remember by heart how those are done, but you can dig through vanilla files for examples.
