I know it's kind of useless to try to jbeam at this stage, but i was impatient to see it in-game . So I just placed the "pre-alpha stage" body and made a fairly quick Jbeam. But got into this problem: When I spawn the vehicle with physics paused, the JBeam looks perfectly aligned: But as soon as I press the J key, the whole 3d mesh misaligns and appears upwards an right to the JBeam, and the mesh remains in this position relative to the JBeam the whole time. How can I fix it? Thanks.
you need to center your mesh in blender or what ever program you use. in blender 2.70, select the mesh, then press ctrl A and then click on the arrow for the dropdown menu that appears on the left menu, near the bottom. Then check the box on Location, Rotation, Scale
My 2014 ford explorer frame is nearly done! Its taking longer then expected since there are not many pictures of the inside of the car, got some of the from eBay believe it or not.
You should cut down on the number of polys on the firewall as well as on the interior floor and transmission tunnel.
Almost there. Grand Marshal Jbeam was re-fitted on this one (along with its running gears meshes). I took care of reduce mesh-spikes. I didn't get any so far, but I should test some more. I cleaned the mesh even further, separated all police parts from the model so you can choose between having a normal Vapid Cruiser or a Police Equipped one. Glowmaps are working, and the steering wheel got a bit smoothed so it doesn't appear 'that' lowpoly anymore. Did I mention the working colour selector before?
Looking pretty good in 3ds max atm. Decided to go full out on this port and delete all the rfactor veggie so I can use my own... well... Hutches. But, that's enough for today, deleting every single tree individually is pretty annoying and time consuming.
Have you ever seen an off-road bus ?? lol. Might change it to a bit stiffer and lower the ride height. Suspension is based on slidenodes (which is kind of close to airbags suspension)
The skin is based upon the coca cola Nissan bluebird Anyone know what the highlighted sticker says, the one under bluebird and the one on the front bumper.
Rays Engineering ? Can't upload pic's so sorry about link. http://www.okxclub.com/catalog/images/img108.jpg
The highlited one: "Rays engineering" The red one on the bumper: "SIMPSON(simpson performance products)" I think it would be better if you replace the Nissan with Ford. But that is your decision Edit Wow...I was on the wrong page -.- have not seen the previous answers...whatever im stupid @ Nadeox That looks beautiful! Awesome design and nice reflections.
