You'll have to bump up the test to the amount of threads you have to see the max possible score. I'd recommend setting it to 30 vehicles. Set it higher if you want to see the max possible real-time vehicles in the benchmark.

Four sticks (two sets of two) of G-skill

A professional overclocker helped my tighten my timings down a bit. I'm now getting 3733@CL14 latency with 3666@CL14 which is bonkers. Once a new, more stable BIOS/AGESA is released, I hope to achieve 3866@CL14, which according to him should be doable with the ram chips I have. Right now I can post with it, it's just not TM5-stable. 3rd gen ryzens are still more sensitive to timings than frequency right now, so 4000Mhz@CL16 is slower than 3666@CL14 despite the theoretical advantage

Well why did no one tell me this before?

Pretty much. One vehicle takes up one CPU core/thread, hence why the more cores you have, the better the game will run with multiple vehicles :p

That's a beast of a cpu @MenkoD, you're the first with that on the spreadsheet, thanks for sharing! ;)
Which frequencies did the cpus (5800X and 5900X) run during the test?

That score seems low. I was expecting somewhere around 700. What are your Temps? Seems like it starts out strong then starts holding back.

    Apple M1 (AS) MacMini 16/512

**Note**: This is 0.14.5 with a old physics core (the latest (DX10) version of beam that will run on crossover.)

This is running from apples “Rosetta” x86-64—-> ARM64 translator which is running crossover (commercial version of wine/steam proton) which is then translating Windows APIs to something that macOS can work with.

So yes, so to cut to the chase it’s running a “emulator” on a “emulator”.

    Result

Yes it runs smooth in game, it runs smoother than my Ryzen7 4700U laptop.

    Some GB5 scores attached also 1st is BB, 2nd is M1 GB5, 3rd is 3600X (Gaming rig) and 4th is my Ryzen7 4700U (8c/8t) laptop.

Intersting nonetheless @Josh, it's crazy how this M1 processor is doing. Did it end the banana bench with a valid score?

Yes it did, I screenshot’ the BB window before it was done that’s why it didn’t have a end score.

If you want to re-run it I can add it as the first score on an Apple proprietary CPU, would be cool imo ;)

I'll have to add the score to the previous tab in the spreadsheet as after 0.18 the pickup was changed and that result would "mess up" the others... It's a shame it can't run the latest benchmark.

Just for fun, this is a Samsung Galaxy Book S LTE (ARM Snapdragon 8cx). The apple arm emulation made me interested.

Windows on ARM works on M1 via QEMU, I can't seem to update it to the latest dev channel build it corrupts the VHDX and makes it unbootable. (see below for QEMU GB5/native macOS GB5)

    https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/5288246
    --- Post updated ---
Looking thru the current BB spreadsheet, on the pre 0.18 tab.

It looks like the M1 running Crossover via Rosetta(70-80% of native performance) ("emulator on a emulator") comes out to be around the same performance (max m/beams) as i5 6400.

    Not bad !

So.. I got the BB core running for v0.21 so atleast the core runs.. (The game still can't launch though)

I believe its due to Crossover/Wine reporting DX9 to beam.. (I'm trying to figure out a way to force crossover to report DX11)

So the W10 parallels VM combined with Microsoft's slow x64 emulator is eating up all the performance.

Attached below is (v0.21 through crossover which is running on apples x64--> ARM64 translator.)

vs WoA and microsofts x64 emulator.

I wanted to see the latest 5900X results and compare it with my 3900X. I expected a higher score of it, because my chip with ram sticks that are not that great compared to yours (3600 cl16) is pretty close to your results, and exceeding it with a mild oc. It's probably limited in some way.

    Here is my results :

    stock 3900X : 509 MBeams/s
    Stock_509.png

    ccx OC to 4.5 - 4.45 - 4.3 - 4.3 : 533 MBeams/s
