0.22: soliad and the boliad update

 

im guessing they are kinda now doing the bolide on a d series level, completely reworked from the ground up

 

Beamng isn't bug and is still in early access

I will have to try this with the G29 but if it is more realistic, and made so much change (like you have to get use to it and stuff), this could be an amazing change. Not saying that handling is crap, but this is a core feature, so any change will deeply affect gameplay. Can't wait to play the game

This is one of the best updates for beamng. The D-Deries was my go to car, NOW it is even more so,

There is even less bugs in this build.

I noticed a few things called portals in the tunnel under the Grand Station:

 

There was one on Utah relating to career mode.

 

No, portals are only used for rendering purposes - specifically for transitions between ambient lighting zones in tunnels and the outside world

 

There's definitely a LeGran wagon (4x4?) on the horizon.

Between these jbeams in the update that the devs forgot to remove, the Imgur leak by Car_Killer that doesn't look like any current mod and was quickly removed (note the luggage rack too), and the fact that the LeGran's unibody was renamed from "Unibody" to "Sedan Body", a wagon is obvious.

An AMC Eagle style 4WD wagon is also somewhat likely for a few reasons. The fact that its transmissions now have options for a transfer case, lifted suspension was added in this update (which is kinda weird for a FWD sedan), and the afore mentioned Imgur leak which looks a bit more offroady than a standard LeGran all kinda make it seem that there's some sort of 4WD version coming.

 

I would love that for the soul purpose of trying to offroad it while playing Any Way You Want It by Journey.

So this practically confirms that the H-Series will get a refresh, with revamped UV/Textures, configs and a facelift. Can’t wait for that!

 

I do think that we might get some smaller expected features in some of the bug fix updates, like with the hopper crawler.

4.28 gears are also new and would be pretty useless on any of the current configs. Sounds like gearing for a large wheel and tire package.

 

"Body styles" is the part that sticks out to me. We already have a SWB/LWB/Cabster; I'd be surprised to see an extended body SWB since that's so similar to the LWB (even though I grew up around standard wheel base vans that had extended bodies to haul carpet rolls, so that makes me a bit sad)... What other options do we have? Minibus, camper (There's a 50/50 of that using the cabster's frame), high roof... More interestingly a Kentarch van-truck... There's also the chance we see a major pre-facelift using an entirely new body like the Ford Econoline's did

A wagon version of a personal luxury coupe? That would be... Weird.... That being said, there are a few interesting derivatives we could see since similar IRL platforms had interesting cousins...

 

What if we get a Soliad version of the Le Gran? like the Poniac 6000, A Soliad model of the Moonhawk would be cool too as it means two Soliad models without having to make more vehicles from scratch.

Apparently the 6000 had an option for All Wheel Drive (thinking it was only for a short time though). but yeah I don't think 1980's GM had something similar to the AMC Eagle.










The wagon better have fake wood grain side paneling for the BROWN.


What do you think they will call the upcoming crossover Le Gran? "Patriot"? Since Eagle is patriotic as it's the US's national animal.

The interesting thing about Bruckell is they have almost nothing in their roster compared to the other 2 big companies (Gavril and Ibishu) and the two cars they can call their own are incredibly light on content, yet the platforms they do have could be used on a huge number of vehicles if the devs really wanted to go crazy with it.

The Moonhawk has arguably the worst potential to realized content ratio in game. We could easily see a more significant (pre)facelift and a Soliad version with some pointy bodywork reminiscent of Pontiac, as well as a wagon, ute, and sedan body styles, plus hardtop/pillard versions of some of these. Being a standard 1970's frame it could also be used for a wide array of contemporary vehicles. It even has two notable possible superbuild configs: a gen 2 stock car and a modified oval stocker. Like most older American cars, a tubbed version and pro-mod version are also on the table (Murder Nova anyone?). Personally I'd love to see some Dodge Aspen inspiration too... T-Tops anyone?

The 1980's had a fair number of interesting FWD American cars, and we now have 2 FWD Bruckell platforms to borrow parts from. Modified versions of these platforms could give us a hot hatch (Think Shelby lancer), a minivan, a minitruck (Think Dodge Rampage), a SWB sport version of the Wendover (Think Reatta)... We certainly have an abundance of 1980's vehicles as is, but because all of these would borrow so much of the mechanical parts from the LeGran/Wendover they are somewhat low hanging fruit that includes some relatively unique stuff and common suggestions (People do seem to love 1980's FWD minivans).

As for the crossover name.. They might go the Bluebuck route and take the name of an animal related to an Eagle.. Bruckell Griffon?
