Speaking of jbeam, i screwed something up that causes a crash when the airbag steering wheel for the roamer is loaded
I screwed something up- the game deselects the part when i put an airbag steering wheel in it --- Post updated --- I should probably try clearing the cache
The mod is getting ready to be released! This is the overview: Welcome to the Roamer Mod! This mod allows you to completely customize your Roamer, Allowing for all kinds of stuff! Parts: -Engines- 4.5L V8 Custom This engine is the same as the standard one except it has slightly more power and is slightly stronger. 5.5L V8 Custom This engine is the same as the base one except it has more power and is much stronger. This engine can take your 5000KW nitrous easily. 5.5L V8 Unstoppable This engine has immense amounts of power, is nearly unbreakable, and has enough inertia to spin for 30 secs after being shut off. It is also very heavy. If you attach a stage 3 supercharger while leaving the engine block stock and rev to full throttle in neutral, the engine will fly out of the car. 5.5L V8 Revver This engine is the same as the 5.5L V8 Custom except it revs to 17000 rpm. Engine blocks that increase power will make the torque curve look hilarious as they are not designed to go that high. Ludicrous 5.5L V8 Revving to 170000 rpm and having enough power to rip the wheel apart in seconds, this is not really an engine you want but will win you bragging rights on who has the most power. Aircraft Turboshaft Engine This engine acts like a turboshaft jet engine from an S-76 helicopter. There are no custom sounds for it yet, but I am working on it. Torque Performance Engine Block This engine block is stronger and multiplies torque by 2.5 up until 7000 rpm. This is great if you want more power. Revver ECU This ECU always sets the max allowed RPM to the engine's max RPM. This is needed if you want to use the Revver and Ludicrous engines or they will max out at normal RPM's. You will constantly get over-rev damage when using a stock engine. -Suspension- Custom Live Axle Rear Suspension and Custom Independent Front Suspension These act like stock ones except they have ridiculous track width limits. Offroad 6-lug Wheel Hubs These act like stock ones except they are very strong. Adjustable Steering This steering allows you to customize the steer speed and steer max. This can be quite fun to play with. -Body- Sport Body This body style is very WIP and looks awful, but it is a start. Once the textures aren't white it will look great. There is a config, the Sport Prototype. Facelift Bright Headlights These headlights are much brighter than normal. They will not seem to cast anything on some maps due to a glitch in BeamNG's lighting system. If this happens, you can still see it in reflections creating a cool effect. Facelift Blinding Headlights These headlights are so bright it is impossible to tell contours on anything facing it. They will not seem to cast anything on some maps due to a glitch in BeamNG's lighting system. If this happens, you can still see it in reflections creating a cool effect. Nomi GTRX Wing This wing has been ported from the SBR4 and serves as a high-downforce wing. Nomi GTRX Internal Wing This wing is inside the car, but still provides downforce. Although it looks like it is in the back, the downforce center is just in front of the rear wheels. Super Nomi GTRX Internal Wing If the original wasn't enough, this wing provides massive downforce. It often rips the trunk off at high speeds because the node attachments are the same as the SBR4. Jato Rockets Found in the Additional Modification, these jato rockets are just what the roamer needed. These are straight from InnocentJoker's Gen 2 Kashira mod, so give the credit to them. -Misc- ESC This is found in the ABS slot and gives the car some ESC modes: Road: For normal driving. Sport: As the name suggests. Offroad: Used for low-speed trails. Rally: Provides massive amounts of STM so it doesn't slide. Custom Frame and Custom Extended Body These do nothing as of now, but I am working on making them have downforce themselves. Alt Taillights These are just default taillights as of now, I am trying to make them have different light patterns so they strobe like real lights instead of becoming brighter. Known Bugs: -The Airbag Steering Wheel never loads. I don't have the slightest idea what could be causing this as there are no files that alter it, but while I work on fixing it I made the wheel default to the D-Series steering wheel. -The bumpers have an option to put the Nomi GTRX Internal wing on them. -Bright and blinding lights don't cast light on some maps. This is an issue in the game's base code because the game isn't designed to handle that much light at the same time. The only way to fix this is to tune back the light power, which would defeat the purpose of the lights being bright. If you have some sort of lighting mod installed, this probably won't happen. -Sport textures are broken and appear as white or as no texture. This is an issue I have been trying to fix for a while now, and I have no clue what I am doing wrong. -The Sport spawns with Alt Taillights instead of Modern Taillights. -The ESC does not have ABS. This is a parsing error I am trying to fix. -Sport radiator and radiator support goes through the hood. -The Custom front suspension breaks at a high track width. -The Adjustable Steering has a very high limit causing major issues when the slider is maxed out. -The Jato rockets need to be positioned correctly -The large wings needs massive jbeam altering involving the attachment points Looking to the Future: -All Wheel Steering -Another body style that actually looks like a 2020 Ford Explorer, which I was going for when I started modeling it -Deo Volente wheels that can handle the Ludicrous engine without exploding to oblivion. -A ram plow -More ESC modes: Drift: Orange- No TCS and STM set to turn speed at medium Trail: Dark Blue- Low TCS and STM set to slip at max Race: White- Max TCS and STM set to turn speed at max -Completing the downforce frame and body, and figuring out how the light control system works so the alt taillights actually do something. -Adding some decent configs like a racer, rally car, jato van, crawler, and dragster. -Customize the Jato rockets so they have more fuel -Wings so it can fly (I will most likely just attach front splitters with negative downforce to the side of the car and attach a wing to the back with low downforce). Credits: InnocentJoker- the jato rockets Me- jbeam, modeling, and everything else Notes: -I need help. I am new to modeling and texturing, so I am open to suggestions on how to do those. -Feel free to show off and alter this mod, but don't forget to credit me. -If someone would texture the sport for me because I don't know how, that would be greatly appreciated. I would put your name in the credits. -I am in high school, so I don't have a lot of time to work on this.
"InnocentJoker's gen 2 Kashira mod" bruh if you want to steal parts without permission at least credit the correct author (or use the in-game JATO rockets from the Wentward)
I would use the Wentward, but the rockets are in the wrong place and I can't figure out how to move them closer. When I went to go see who made the Kashira, Innocent Joker's icon incorrectly popped up ,so I thought he made it.
I watched it, but I think I am using a different version because everything looks different. Several things in the video were not there in mine.
Hes using a different version of blender, thats why. A lot of the things still work with it. Google things that dont work.
Oh. I am using Blender 2.90 Standard with the Jbeam Exporter plugin --- Post updated --- Here is the new overview: Welcome to the Roamer Mod! I would release it now, but I am at school.
Yes, please. I trust that you have it ready but pics are definitely needed, especially considering the only one we have right now is from a pretty early stage of development.
Here is the mod. Other than the body that hasn't changed much since development because I don't know how to texture items, there are not much visual changes.
