Yeah, I hate when that happens. I noticed if that if you crash a car *too hard the car would have parts missing, or holes around where it is heavily damaged or just chunks of the car missing..

Even the latest hotfix was 3 months ago.

 

although, they might use it for testing purposes. Or they might be working on fixing it right now as we speak. Who knows? Maybe the next hotfix update will have the replay fixed? We'll have to sit tight and wait and see.
