OK, proper update this time, since things are moving as expected The 1991 Belasco International Auto Show is coming soon!
First time trying Substance Painter and first time baking from high to low poly turned out pretty good
that is insanely cool but i have a few questions 1. does the glass deform 2.how did you do it, pretty sure people have said it couldn't be done before. iam curious on how it works lol 3. (dont kill me but) will it be released?
I can answer the last one for you: Probably not, specially seeing how some people havent learned their lesson yet and keep asking for mod gibs
This is Development screens so it makes sense for people to assume it would be released and not a fishing mission for likes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Nobody is saying he has to release his content but when you make a thread and constantly use development screens to showcase your work the assumption is it will be public..... "When is release?" is annoying, "Will it be released?" is a genuine question based on the fact its posted back in dev screens again and he previously stated he wasn't releasing it.
if i am correct, he was originally planning on releasing it fully to the repo which is why he made a whole thread and carmightyvids made a full on trailer for it as well, however after the whole spam and begging fiasco he changed his mind and put it on hold which is what the thread still says. And I don't think we can really blame him for choosing to do so although I did see he posted new wip teasers on his channel and it seems like he is continually adding more features so I am also confused. @JsZ please can you clarify this whole thing or then people will continue asking when?
I didn't know development screens had to be for public mods and not for beamng development in general its a true shame that nowhere in the rules and title this is stated very sad!
Well, to be fair, that makes sense too. Besides, mods that get (rightfully) canceled would have had possible posts too in Dev Screens. I myself certainly was part of that in the past. It also makes sense that one person asks if the work will be released, what doesn't makes sense imo is if one member asked and other members don't bother to read the progress of the forum in a 'sensible' manner and thereby asking the same question over and over again, not to speak about the passive force being exerted upon the author in order to be in possession of the mod by yesterday if it were possible.
It's more of a common sense thing than a rule, cause posting in a public mod dev page then crying that people ask about it is the least logical outcome. Not gonna lie I misremembered his post saying he was leaving the forum(temporarily) and the mod was on hold/wouldn't get a public release for the near future. So with that being said I suppose I jumped at shadows and my arguments don't actually apply in this case. While I am man enough to admit I was wrong in this instance and I apologies to JsZ I stand by my statements I have made and make no apologies for the content just the context.
Personally, it’s just an opinion, but, if you’re recording, and uploading footage of a mod in development, to a public forum, that can be seen by anyone, and not just a small group of people, then one would assume it’s going to be public, right? My opinion is, if you’re developing a mod, recording footage, and uploading it, only to keep the mod private, don’t upload it. Almost seems like fishing for attention, and I’m not having a go at absolutely anyone, it’s just there has been instances in past and it seems like everytime I try make some common sense, my said common sense is removed from existence and this forum remains with its imperfections that have *probably* altered its ability to appeal to the masses, and I’d be surprised if a lot of people who play BeamNG were on this forum for more than one login, but with that being said, the devs do an excellent job, with all the chaos that ensues. I dunno where I was going with that but meh, just don’t upload mod development if said mod will be private, I guess.
Not for my mod but a friend asked me to do it and it will most likely be in his mod. It's controlled by throttle like in the Bitron B2 mod although I did it the easier way: instead of making separate LUA I copied the Wentward one and removed the condition that it won't activate on keyboard input, and used it on the electric engine so there are no conflicts with shifting. In reverse it acts like the standard reverse gear on arcade gearbox, on realistic it probably turns on the rocket though. There is no way I could have made it as good as in the Bitron lol, idk how to do LUA stuff. It has a custom speed limiter too, turns off right before it would spin out. Also has parcel shelf stabilizers so it doesn't flap at high speed.
