We don't have dummies though. There are mods that add them, but they are not official content, and therefore time should not be devoted to them by the devs.
Not only would the cloth simulation be complex, but how would make a n/b structure "inflate" upon an impact? Also, you would not be able to condense that many nodes into such a small space without any instability.
Check out inflatable mat prop that is official content. You just would need to downscale that, set 0 pressure at spawn and then by lua set pressure to desired value upon impact, probably with some beam break triggering or g-force sensor etc. Both are realistic methods. How much inflatable mat lags is perhaps somewhat good estimate of how much airbags would lag. Some modders have experimented with airbags I believe, I have seen something in development screenshots, but it was quite some time ago.
I would disagree. Many things in beamNG can be simplified to the point where they do only what they need to do to function properly. An airbag could be simplified into a simple 4 node cone with collision triangles and soft beamns.
welcome to the forums. This is a thread last active 2 years ago. a general rule is to not respond to anything more than a few months old.
So if the search function brings you to an old thread months old and your question there is not answered, should you should create a whole new thread with the same info as the old thread? Wouldn't that serve to clutter up the forums?
The question here in this thread was answered though. The bump was not even a new question or repeat of the old one, and was pointless imo.
jsz made ibishu zephyr but never released it was a canceled concept I tried asking him for the whole code and he said no the reason he canceled it was because he got banned from beamng forums and so because of violating the rules he won't give us anything to help it if there was a legend that would make airbags mod
