So I was recently looking at old threads of people saying consoles could never run this game because of the power they lack, but then I started looking into the new ps5 and it seems to have way more power. I’m wondering if it would be possible.

Of course new hardware will be capable enough, but modding capability would be limited, as well as extensive testing to determine what you can be allowed to do while having "acceptable" performance. Just look at all the restrictions consoles have with fallout 4 / skyrim SE modding. Without major bribe money, jumping through all those hoops is stupid.

I love how people think you can just transfer a game from pc to console lol

yeah, you just copy the contents onto a cd, find and replace every instance of "pc" to "xbox" or "ps5" then put the disk in your console.

Definitely possible. Even previous generation consoles could probably handle this fairly scalable game...

Will they do it, though? Probably not, because of manpower and licensing costs.

Scalable, sure, but there's a minimum single thread performance requirement, and last gen doesn't really meet it.

The hardware is capable enough it’s just first off, no, secondly the team doesn’t have the time or budget to do it, and third, just buy a pc

This is an extremely useless thread. Devs, just remove this. It has been asked a million times, and no BeamNG won't come to PlayStation, because no one has the time to complete reprogram such a heavy game. If you want that so bad, then why won't you do it yourself, huh?? You can't? Exactly!

Please use the search function. BeamNG is not coming to Consoles anytime soon.
